As to that news, it’s insanely cool that we were picked as one of the 16. That being said, 2K has been awful any time I’ve tried to play it in the last 10 years, and it’s so dumb that we are getting this as an add on to an NBA game rather than a college hoops game. Certainly, I’ll probably end up buying it since we will be in the game. But I will also be disappointed knowing we are missing out on what could be so much more.

Wouldn’t it be the biggest kick in the nuts if Illinois is featured in a video game with a new uniform design but we don’t actually get them in real life?Someone posted at one point that they saw a 2k truck in Champaign, allegedly for the purpose of including us in the game? Or something like that, lol.
If we made a social media post about that video game and there are no new uniforms, that might be the most DIA thing possible regarding this subject, and we should all accept we are stuck with 1LL1NO1S forever.

Also, in the event that we DO actually get a new throwback version, I think I want it to be either Script or Flyin' Illini navy. We already have white Script and orange Flyin' Illini, so it would be coolest to get a fresh look in our "missing" navy color.
Of course, we would probably wear it vs. UConn at MSG, lose and fans would declare it "cursed" because of one game vs. a Final-Four-caliber team in their backyard.

I think it's important to note real quick that the Illini have not been officially announced for 2k. The post from 2-3 weeks ago was a fake one and there unfortunately has been no word about it still.
