Ladies really played well today. Everyone contributed. Lety was very good. Needed her with Cearah in foul trouble. As enjoyable as the game was the post game interview with Genesis and Gretchen was even better! Genesis had to tell Gretchen not to laugh. Other male announcer said before the game Gen was in tears hugging her old teammates. A really fun and touching end to the broadcast.

Dolan and Brown-hagger shouldn't be starting. My problem with those two is when they are struggling offensively then they struggle on defense. In my opinion, Webber and Guyton should starting. Guyton and Webber are better perimeter defenders as well.
Today Gretchen took the ball strong to the rim. She was not just firing jump shots. Of her 25 points only one 3 came out of three point attempts. Right now I feel like Jazz is a glue player for us. We are so very young and she is usually composed and doing the things that do not always show up in the box score. As the season goes on those starting changes could very well take place. In the meantime Maddy is like a bolt of energy off the bench and her teammates responded. I think she enjoys that role. Aaliyah is so silky smooth. We also have flexibility with positions. Lineups may well change according to matchups.
A fun and new feeling for us! Congrats to our coaching staff for bringing in a wonderful recruiting class. GO ILLINI!

A few additional comments from the FSU game, we out coached them, refs calls were not bad but didn't go our way but we didn't react to that, we adjusted. With the additional depth and versatility we have this year the ability to get the best of match ups was nice to see. Match up example like Destiny Jackson had bigger guards that were quick like she was, good to see her challenged before big ten play,. However experienced Guyton, Webber and even Dolan handled it well. FSU was determined to take Berry Wallace out of our offense, overplayed her, Dolan took big advantage of that driving to the basket. FSU never adjusted to that.

Most fun for me was to see Lety play big and play well against a good and skilled center from FSU. She was a game changer on both end of the floor. Good mix of younger and experience players and have to say Coach Green chose start players along with talented ones. Very smart about the game and don't depend on just raw talent. Fun team to watch.

Super ugly game. WKY using all of the clock and playing zone. Giving us fits. 35-27 leading in the 3rd
