It's pretty clear they're being coached to line up way off receivers and drop onto ill conceived zones. Henry's whole defense is based on not being aggressive. You can't aggressively drop 8 in prevent coverage. These players have been neutered

I mean its not really looking as the glass half full if its truth.but I get it hopefully the defense can step it up on defense this 2nd half and offense can continue to move the ball.i just dont see as illini fans how were supposed to be happy with our defense its been absolutely terrible all year part of it goes to the players on the field but even more so to the DC thats A is not putting our players in a position to succeed or B lacks the coaching ability to either inspire or coach up the players he recruited for said defense especially with a veteran team there's truly no excuses

Yep. When your coach doesn’t even have faith in you to make a play how would you? Just baffling that there has been zero improvement on that side in two years.
