You also need to remember Le Moyne is transitioning from Div 2 to Div 1. I think either this year or next year they are eligible for NEC post season and the year after that for NCAA post season. It's not unusual in any sport for the team jumping to a higher division to get routed this badly. Look how bad USC clobbered Missouri State University (I still call it Southwest Missouri State lol SMSU) this year in Football. This was their first year as an FBS school and that was a minor jump up compared to Le Moyne's jump.

This is kinda just how women's NCAA is right now, though. It's gotten better over the years as the league has matured and improved. But there's still 50- and 60-point wins. Even among high majors. NC State blew out Southern Miss on the road by 54 just the other night.

We've got so many players who can play I wonder what the rotation would be if the other two dynamic players were available how the rotation would be affected... Who would be in and who would be fighting for more minutes now?

I'm certain Alves would have found time. She got minutes against the pros and did very well during international play. You can never have enough great shooters.

I think the freshmen class, once rejoined with the other two can win big.Of course Vasconcelos has to be in good shape next year through off-season training..I'm hoping Hayven wakes up a little more.My expectations of her were a bit exaggerated I guess.

Yes, it's unfortunate; she seems to be the women's version of Brandon Lieb.

I don't think Smith will be with us next year.

I was kind of wondering the same, second year in a row they've played. Playing La Moyne was of questionable value.

Another barn burner on Tuesday. I'll probably go to that game as well and think the same as today.
Might be linked to the fact that Coach Green attended college in Upstate New York. Though to be technical, someone who lived near Lemoyne would consider themselves to be from Central New York and Canisius is Western New York.

I wouldn't say that is the situation. Smith is happy and enjoys the team and the school. We all know she is a project and would be recruited over for better players and Illinois has done good. There are 15 roster spots but only 9-10 are actually going to play.

Illini up 32-11 after first quarter, another low level of competition game. I will be glad to see us play better teams. Few observations, Guyton is such a smart player, even if she is not scoring we get a lot from her and Jackson controlling the ball and on playing D. I like it that we can play two bigs Parchment and Lety at the same time. Even when we get in foul trouble this year we have a dang good bench.

First post of the year....

Seems we might have 8 ranked Big 10 teams ahead of us to start the 2025-26 season. That would say that we're projected middle-of-the-pack at best, but with a really young roster. Based upon YTD stats, we seem to have 2-3 solid "bigs" and some pretty decent ball handling guards. But our 3-pt shooting will be a big drop-off when compared to the past three years. Does this sound about right? Any chance to surprise the experts?

Last years team was at its ceiling starting four 5th srs and Berry.

Almost no bench after Dolan injury.

This year we have incredible freshman class/ transfers with mega upside

Still improving - Dolan, Wallace, Jasmine

Ready to play freshman
Destiny. Cearah, Letty and Irena

Starter quality transfers
Aaliyuh and Maddy

9 deep - you couls make case for any besides Irena to be starter

Very talented Alves if she had not been injured would have gotten significant minutes. More a true center/power forward than Parchment. Parchment the better outside shooter, all around player. Would have been great playing together. Hopefully next year...

Next opponent - Indiana. We've both played Florida State. Indiana beat them 76-72 in Florida. We beat them 86-63, also in Florida. Indiana is 7-1 vs a schedule probably a little tougher than ours.

We are at home. I predict crazy crowd and Illini win!

Interesting that Shauna Green and Brad have taken opposite approaches to scheduling non conference games. Guess will find out soon enough which approach works best.

I wish we had a more challenging pre-conference schedule. Our talent level and depth is so much better. I think we are a top 25 team and should be playing better opposition. That being said the WBB B10 is a meat grinder - 8 teams in top 25. We will get chance to prove ourselves. 💪
