I checked ESPN's national recruiting rankings and they had Illinois at #22. Contrast that ranking to some other sites I looked over that had them in the top 10. That's quite a difference.

I'll never understand why Henry completely changed things after Walter left? Why mess with something that was working?
The DBs weren't as good, so he wanted to make them have to cover longer.

I don't care what you tell me, beating up the QB and making him throw immediately if not sooner is a better defense than having 8 guys in coverage and letting the QB look around until he finds something that he likes.

How much did he play? I would think he'd be a risk to take. I'm starting to question the amount of talent E St. Louis actually puts out. How many of those guys have actually made it big in the last 5-10 years compared to how many ended up doing nothing at D1 schools?
He is definitely a hard pass and he got a lot of money from NIL. East St. Louis and Trinity Catholic in St.louis had some highly recruited players and 95% were bust. Especially those 2019, 2020 and 2021 classes. Cory Patterson only got players from Trinity Catholic and Sunkett at East St. Louis has never sent Illinois his most highly recruited players.

Yes I agree 1000%.
