Man, some of you are very confident in an ILLINI win tonight. I am not as confident........1st true Road game, OSU a pretty good team, we are still kind of an anomaly as a team...........should be interesting

If they continue the toughness they displayed in the second half of the UT game, they will smoke OSU. Making shots of course.

If they relax like UConn and Bama, the B1G road will smack them in their man business.

I'm anticipating a tough game. I watched the OSU vs. NW game and OSU won on a night when Martinelli had a career high and NW was playing well. Obviously, we're a better team, but it was a road game and OSU took care of business. I expect they will provide a challenge, even though I think we win by 8 to 10 points.

Not to turn this into a Peacock-yay or nay discussion, but I still think there is value there with the Big 10, some other college sports, Premier League, and some good original content. For me, Paramount+ is the one to dump. The only problem is they have Champions League soccer. But the new format is too drawn out, so I’m not sure how interested I am anymore:
Paramount has some good original content also. As well as owning the Star Trek franchise for the trekies out there.

An Ivisic game - both.

Tilly likes to shoot 3s (3 per game), but only shooting 16% on the year. I like the minutes Z is on the floor to let him just roam the middle, and make Tilly prove it.

As for T? Tilly has a foot problem, and the NW center went for 13, 3, and 9. T looked tremendous last game, I still think this team looks at their best when the offense is going through him.

Devils advocate...they haven't played a top 50 opponent this season and lost to a bad Pitt team. We're the biggest & best team by far they've played all year

really think Jake Davis can be a better player for this team, dude has the best shot on the team other than Wagler. I feel good about Jake shooting 3's, not so much Ben.
Hell no..Jake hit a huge three i will give him that but on defense he gets ABUSED. I screamed no when he took that shot the other night..lol

Maybe I should have been more specific about kb's defense. His pick n roll coverage in particular has lacked the bite previously displayed.Passing off man instead of fighting over screen, not being forcefull at point of attack.Werner and Latulip have voiced similar concerns.I still think KB is a outstanding defender overall.

Our offense is all about spacing.....You put Morez in the corner instead of Ben and that defender can now just sit on the block.

I guess what I'm getting at isn't that Ben is better or more talented than Rez he's just more beneficial and effective in helping us space the floor.
Defensively Rez is a hundred times better rebounder and defender and it’s not even close

Which game? I think he/they were more provisory about having him fight through vs Tenn after the shoulder, but idk I could be wrong on that

If only Michigan used him for the things he's good at (not that one could argue with their results as a team, but):

Ben Humrichous 4.8 rebounds in 22.8 minutes
Morez Johnson 6.3 rebounds in 23.4 minutes

Morez plays at Michigan by his choice.
Forget about him

Is it almost time for the Loyalty Hyperbole Awards?

Huh? Not tied for first; as it stood, we were half a game AHEAD of Michigan in the rankings.

Davis is an absolutely brutal defender and can't rebound a lick. Ben provides extremely valuable minutes in both areas + is a 35% three point shooter. If Jake left the team tomorrow, the dropoff would be minimal, if any. If Ben left, he leaves a huge void off the bench. Honestly, now that we're seeing how we play against significantly better competition, one could argue Ben should be starting in front of Mirk, who has really struggled with the better athletes.

I guess the game will be on NBC Sports Network also. For me, it's channel 1211 on Xfinity. For those that don't want to be "stuck" on the Peacock app.....

I don't have an issue with Ben or his play this year. I'd like to see him put up more threes but haven't been watching closely enough to see why his rate has gone down. Ben (26 mins) and Mihailo (6 mins) were the only guys that got in for us vs Tennessee that didn't shoot a three.

Playing the stats game - if you take out his 5-9 effort in our 58 point win over Jackson State he's 9-31 (29%) in the other games and he's 2-8 (25%) in our last 4 games while playing 90 minutes. Keaton is 8-23 (34.7%) over the last 4.
And if you take away Keatons 2/2 against J st, he's at 31%...which is like the difference of one three made (Ben hits one more and he's at 32)

against high majors ben is 33% from 3 (5/15) and Keaton is 30% (6/20)
