Nice win on the road. Stayed composed and answered every challenge from start to finish. Destiny gets the game ball, imo.

Great win for a young team on the road. Destiny and Gretchen put the team on their backs, but everyone pitched in. Not mentioned enough, but in my view, Green easily won the coaching battle.
So impressive how they kept punching back and did not let Missouri take the lead.

The WBB and MBB teams are
- both showing tremendous grit and resolve in their games this year by getting a lead and refusing to give it up with poise and maturity hanging on for wins......

Impressive

Wheeler was pretty good to

For some reason I was expecting a blowout but this gritty win speaks volumes.. Our new players held pretty solid.. Man that fresh man point guard is such a defensive stalwart who makes very little mistakes..She took out a giant PG and had her hands on a hundred deflections. I'm still worried about the overall youth but the coaching is great even when our star has been struggling a bit and a rotation player is down.As I thought before the season the team will get a couple of surprises in wins and maybe a couple of perplexing losses but I do think they make the semis of the B1G tournament and from there all good things have to align for March Madness to win 2 games..... Or better.

This team has decent size and athleticism. I have watched them in 4 games now. Wow! What a job by coach! Team has loads of potential. My take on this game is BIG road win. Best player was shut down most of the night because of foul trouble and the youngsters were good. There is no way we win this game without them. Great show!

Hopefully we get back to the 20 points Berry .I hope Aaliyah is okay...I also hope we can expand the rotation so we have less of getting hurt..We got the bigs so let's use them

We need Aaliyah so Destiny does not have to play 40 mpg. She is very important.

Maddy came thru when Berry picked up 2nd foul at end of 1Q. Berry spent long time on bench.

Lety does nice job backing up Cearah who is foul prone.

Jasmine does good job filling in for Gretchen.

7 person rotation with Aaliyah.

Would be nice for 1 more person to step forward.

Irena has seen more minutes.

Wish we could test Gisela more - she has 2 yrs Div 2 and 1 year at LIU.

Naomi could help.

We have 7 good players and Lety is very serviceable because of her size. Then there is a big drop off. Irene is not bad for a ninth player, Hayven is too slow with no footwork, Naomi apparently does not have the coaches trust yet, and Gisela and Mia are not B1G players. Shauna knows best who to play and when to play them.

Our defense is going to give us a chance in most games this year. Missouri had averaged 77 points per game. We allowed them only 62 which is the fewest that they've scored all year. They had been shooting .47 on the year and we held them to ,38. They were shooting .40 from the arc and we held them to .32. Across the season opponents are shooting .36 overall and .25 from three. No one has scored more than 67 points against us.

Gisela impressed in mop up times, imo. I doubt she gets tick since she’s not at a position of need with our current team.

Wish she could redshirt

I was surprised how good she she looked in 9 minutes against Bellflower.

Handled the ball well, created her own shot. I think she can lay D1 ball.

Yeah, was equally surprised and agree. I trust Shawna but hope there is a path and we have a diamond in the rough

Will Coach Green expand the rotation?
Interesting question, but after observing Green’s coaching style, I would think she will tighten the rotation as opposed to expand it as we move into the Big 10 schedule. She will still play 8 but will not hesitate to play a player 38-40 minutes based on the situation. She will only expand the rotation if it benefits her. Of course, foul trouble and matchups will influence playing time as we enter the real season.
