We should at least consider offering The Ayatollah of Rock and Raiola if his massive ego will fit through the tunnel to run onto the field. He does come with a decided lack of modesty, so it would be a massive culture change from being led by Luke, a truly humble and great character who earned the love and respect of his coaches, teammates, and fans.

early word was he was transferring to OkSt — in essence following the coach
Yes, Morris is a father figure to him and he is loyal to him for taking the chance on him. He is thinking one year at Okl St to prove himself on a bigger stage ($1-2M) and then consider the Big or SEC.

Would probably encourage others to not fall in love with the “sexy” QBs that are going into the portal. I know I have with the ODU kid, but we’re more positioned to look at the experienced sure handed guy (think DeVito) who is taking a 5th year. Then, in 27, Boyd will be ready to take the command and lead the team.

Nope…for the reasons you mentioned.

More than double that price … I got told Indiana was thinking $3.5 million base with up to $4 million in incentives for him and got told that wasn’t going to be enough …

Yeah, the big/sec figures have been in the 3-4m range all along, even earlier this fall. Oklahoma st is a materially lower figure, and would not be optimizing for $ next year, which has not been his only priority. At this point they are letting the agent work his magic and see how much they can get (hence your last sentence) before deciding.

On this note I will be very curious to see who Cig targets post CFP.

Not a better sell in CF than coming to Indiana as a top tier QB. Incredible job by IU football.
