I think it's more the ability to track/validate the person. Both physically and through various electronic media. People haven't changed much.

my mom was a very religious woman (as was my dad ) and well versed in both the old & new teataments .

she passed last Feb 18 , at age 90
I miss her every day . I was so blessed with such an awesome mother .

I know where I work an expensive bottle of bourbon is a show piece in some offices.

Back in the 80s, companies of all shapes and sizes had formal offsite team meetings followed by a happy hour. Pretty much a standard business practice in those days.

I guess affair technically but according to the article he split with his wife long before this happened.

He was living in a hotel and found a girlfriend. Was there a policy against a University employee dating a student?

Probably not, it happens. Hence the firing on the bourbon since that is against University policy.
