Break the ESPN monopoly on the CFP like the NFL playoffs. The first round could overlap a couple games times. The 1 v 16 game and 2 v 15 games may not be so appealing anyway. The TNT games don't get great ratings anyway. The ESPN games get almost 3x the viewers of the TNT games. Let CBS, Fox and NBC bid on the additional 4 games and that would add a lot of money to the pool.the easiest answer is 16 teams
first round same weekend as now - seeds 1-8 play at home
the only issue is TV schedule . do you have some games on at same time or do you spread it over more than days somehow ?
Same. Absolutely can’t root for SECnext game, next game Alabama needs to be destroyed
a. agree 100% . needs to happen asapBreak the ESPN monopoly on the CFP like the NFL playoffs. The first round could overlap a couple games times. I would also be ok with 8 teams. There is a potential for saturation with too many games; ratings were down 7% vs last year in the first round.
It’s a bit deceiving. 3 of those loses are the underdog losing. And 2 of those games the team with the bye were huge underdogs.Teams with a bye: 0-6 so far in the twelve team format.
and get rid of any g5 or conference champion autobids (tulane, JMU this year). top 16 make the tournament, period. the gap between p4/g5 is getting wider and wider, will lead to worse and worse matchups in the future if these guarantees continueactually hope IU breaks the streak.
expecting major changes this offseason. conference championship games cancelled. 16 team playoff, no byes, top 8 seeds host first round, higher seed hosts second round. the ability to host incentivizes the regular season games. cutting out conference championships moves everything up a week, prevents rust. not sure how rose/fiesta/orange/sugar/cotton/peach bowls get sorted out, some sort of revolving system could make sense
I don’t think anyone took IU lightly.Oregon will be absolutely jacked to go against Indiana again. Did they take them lightly until it was too late last time?
If we see 0-8 or 1-7 for top 4 seeds after tonight, I would be shocked if we don’t see 16 teams next year. We might see it anyway no matter what. That will happen. Possibly as soon as next year.
I agree. Plus, Lanning lets up in blowouts so it’s extra odd.what was with Lanning scoring at the end?
He & McGuire have a personal beef ?
I think two reasons:what was with Lanning scoring at the end?

lanning called a time out with like 15 seconds left to make it happen tooI agree. Plus, Lanning lets up in blowouts so it’s extra odd.
I’d probably subscribe to the theory that something happened over the course of the game that made Lanning want to rub some salt in the wound at the end. I personally didn’t see anything watching the game, but obviously things happen on the field that we don’t know about watching on TV.I agree. Plus, Lanning lets up in blowouts so it’s extra odd.
Tech called multiple timeouts under 2 minutes left. Tech wanted to play until the end.what was with Lanning scoring at the end?

I am officially Anyone But Indiana from here on outI’m good with IU losing by 100 honestly
CFP money is no joke if multiple teams go and better if they win, and it gets split among all B1G teams.I dunno - I am all in with Indiana
I guess I like Cinderella stories, plus it's good for the B1G, which is good for us.
I have no reason to hate IU (except for their hoops fans, and the candypants, but that's hoops)
