Did Peacock just give up and make college basketball available to anyone with ā€œcableā€ now? I get it on YouTube TV on NBCSN and I noticed my father in law also gets Peacock basketball on his traditional cable too.

When they brought NBCSN back (albeit just for those with YouTube TV and Xfinity at this point), they drew on existing programming produced and/or announced for Peacock. The Peacock NFL games will still be exclusive to there though the Gold Zone during the Olympics will be simulcast on NBCSN.

NC State loses by 15 at home to Virginia

Darrion Williams play has fallen off a cliff. Brutal for NC State given he's one of the highest paid In the game. NC State has no shot of doing anything if he's not a star. Can't remember the Field of 68 guy that called him the best college basketball player LAST season

I think Will Wade is gonna get asked about him again after today....... Wade did himself nor Darrion Williams any favors in the future with that outburst. Just put a larger spotlight on it.

Shrewsberey only gets a ā€œpublic reprimandā€ from the ACC.

In related news, Jim Phillips is looking for his backbone this afternoon.

On February 14, 2019, we beat No. 9 Michigan State and stormed the court. That was a great win. It had the Dakich "This won't end well" quote before Ayo drains a three to go up by 6 late. So yeah, definitely.
one of my favorite Dakich moments (...i just threw up a bit typing that 🤣)

Is that really all that that’s happened? At the very least he should be suspended for a number of games and ifNotre Dame doesn’t do it then the conference should.

I’ll be clear-it was a bad call. But you cannot just reprimand a coach for what Shrewsberry did. Had he not been restrained, there’s no doubt in my mind he makes some sort of physical contact. Should have been at least a two-game suspension.

I know Brad frustrates some people but man we do have it really good. Some of these teams that rely on portal like Kentucky can bottom out.

His overall hit rate in the portal is pretty impressive.

It’s definitely one of those things where it’s understandable you see more of the failures when it’s your team, but lose sight of what else is taking place nationally.

Although my argument would be his x and o’s consistently turn guys into really good players too. (Ducks)

Guy's unhinged. What's crazy is how there's people here who outwardly wish our coach would have this type of behavior. They're 10-5, have looked terrible.

Needs to be some sort of regulation with payments imo. Players shouldn’t be able to sign a 1 year deal with one team, then just back out of it a month later.
Here’s the thing though…. As long as the money comes from ā€œsponsorsā€ and not the schools themselves, there is no contract with a school. If Twin City Radiator, for example, offers Rez $1 million, it’s to use his name, image and likeness. Of course, it’s presumed that he’d be an Illinois player, but because NIL is not pay-for-play (wink wink), there’s nothing legally binding that links the deal to where an athlete plays ball.

There are efforts in the works to change some of this. Now that schools can directly pay athletes through the $20.5 million revenue-sharing cap, those deals are very much legally binding contracts with the school. Even for third-party sponsors like your Twin City Radiator, any deal over $600 has to be approved by the CSC clearinghouse. So, and this is merely an assumption of how this works, if they can’t prove Rez actually did $1M worth of marketing work, the CSC can flag it as 'pay-for-play' and pull his eligibility. I have also read that some sponsors are getting smarter as many contracts now include 'exit clauses' that force players to pay back some or all of the money if they transfer before the season ends.

Not sure if I’m answering your question but Xfinity has included Peacock for me for ā€˜free’ (after my exorbitant monthly cable bill) the last few years.

I couldn't disagree more.

These referees need to start taking accountability and facing consequences when they make mistakes like these. The coaches are just expected to sit there and take it over and over and over again without the ability to do or say anything about it?

Bit of a different story when you're undefeated and #13 yourself....
It’s hard to ā€œact like you’ve been there beforeā€ when it feels like you have never been there. They haven’t been ranked this high in 35 years, so for the fans, it’s tough to think of them as anything but an underdog. (Especially the students)
In the team’s defense, Mast asked the fans to stop doing it in his interview after the game. They expected to win.

So you think you should attack them after a bad call?

Refs get graded for every game. They are absolutely going to hear about that call. They may lose games they would have otherwise had, because of bad calls. But to in any way, even infinitesimally small, excuse attacking a ref is crazy.
