I haven't paid too much attention lately, and I could probably find the answer pretty easily, but I'm lazy.
Has there been a non Illinois B1G freshman of the week? and if so, what's our ratio?

I was just looking at this, so good timing... there has been 8 total votes, and ILL has won 4 of them (2 to Keaton, 2 to Mirk). So 50% on the year winning B1G Freshman of the week. It would be cool to get an overall player of the week.

Yes, Co freshmen of the week got handed out this week. Keaton (2) Mirk (2) Frager (Nebby 2) Hannes (Wash 2), Mingo (PSU 1). On paper a close FOTY race, in my mind Keaton is running away.

Dear Big Ten: please alert your officials to the fact that KW is a premier player in this league and should NOT be given the standard newcomer whistle BS!

Thank you.
From your lips to God's ears, been saying this over and over myself the last couple weeks.

If history holds true to form, he will start getting the benefit in the last month of the season but there is always the risk of the officials having a reversion / reset once the postseason starts.

curious, how many of those 4 weeks where
Keaton or Mirk didn’t win did the team not play a game to qualify?

So far 5 different players have won Freshman of the Week, 4 of them multiple times:

Wagler: 3x*
Mirkovic: 2x
Frager (NEB): 2x
Steinbach (WASH): 2x*
Mingo (PSU): 1x

That gives some indication of what Big Ten All-Freshman Team and the Big Ten FOY race should look like.

* - Wagler and Steinbach won as co-FOW on Jan. 5.
