Bobby Knight or Curt Cignetti...who smiles/smiled more or at all? Sarcastic smiles don't count.

My former boss—a good friend and Indiana alum—just texted me. He said that with the way things are going, he’s thinking about buying a Powerball ticket soon. Who knows!

Too much parity in college football today. The teams when talent was all on 5 teams rather than 25 teams were better. The 2001 Miami team had like 40 NFL drafted players on the team. Indiana might have 10.
I’m talking about results. Other teams, including this year, have had more talent, but has a team been more dominant. They will set the records for wins, and the margin of victory seems to have been unprecedented.

I don't want to admit that IU will end up with an all-time football team. And I really don't want to admit that I'm incredibly jealous of their success (over 2 years). Don't get me wrong, I LOVE what Bret has done for our program...but why does it have to be IU? I can hear their fans arrogance already...

This could be us next year.

Or we could go 4-8.

Hard to say these day... but I love that fact that it's not impossible. Hell... it's no longer even improbable!

Wow. That has to be the easiest money ever.
They could lose cause it’s a game played with an odd shaped ball by human beings Mistakes can happen. That said I’m thinking you are 100% accurate and will put a little $ on said outcome before it happens.

Crazy thing yesterday is the line moved from IU -3.5 to IU -3.0. So some people thought Oregon was gonna either beat em or play em close. Not it. I saw that first game and IU won by 10 in Eugene and it really wasn’t that close. Mendoza threw a second half pick six otherwise it’s a 17 point game. And Oregon never really got close to cutting it to less than 10 in the 4th

That was the game where I said IU is for sure the best team.

Every time I listed to Mendoza I get the feeling he is going to be some C suite buzzword spouting soil sucker if his NFL career doesn't work out.

I don’t get that at all. I think he’s destined to be a Senator or higher after his NFL career is done. I love the way he talks. His energy is infectious. He’s charismatic and genuine. Wears his faith on his sleeve which I love. If my daughter brought him home I’d die a happy man. When I see a young man like that, it gives me hope for the younger generation. His family did a 150% excellent job in raising him. This guy deserves success. That’s how you carry yourself if you are a D1 athlete.

It's actually easy to argue. Joe Burrow with LSU steamrolled a much more difficult schedule than Indiana. You're prisoner of the moment.

This is a goofy take on team sports. Its how you put it all together, not individual talent. Teams every year accumulate more talent than others and wet the bed because they don’t play as a unit. The way this Indiana team plays, I'd love to see them against ANY of those teams you're referring to.
