Thanks for the advice. You’re very kind.At some point in your life you will eat an edible and think it isn’t working. It is very important you do not eat a second one.
I said similar yesterday and got the expected response. It’s just gameplay for some at this point. What am I missing here?
Going back through the thread, it seems Iike there were only like 2 or 3 posters complaining about the game and then about 486 million posters mocking or chastising the fanbase for complaining even though almost no one was complaining in the first place.
Did you watch the second half? We had an opportunity to demolish them, and Keaton got too comfortable messing around. We weren’t focused at all. That wasn’t a joke. In no scenario should we be outscored by a team of that level in a half. If the name was “Southeren Kentucky State” instead of “Rutgers”… many more would’ve said the same thing.I said similar yesterday and got the expected response. What I find most ironic is that I don’t believe the post above “not happy with this game” was serious. I think it was trolling and worked spectacularly.
If @SkyysNotFalling corrects me, I will retract the above.

Michigan? Beats teams by 40. Why don’t we? What’s stopping us?
Penn State says hello.Michigan? Beats teams by 40. Why don’t we? What’s stopping us?
I didn’t see it, just the final. Did they have Penn State down by 27 at half?Penn State says hello.
Edit: NarrowJ just beat me!
Not sure what’s stopping us but Penn St stopped Michigan from it. Btw, we did win by 26.Did you watch the second half? Creating bad habits. Not stomping a team that we should…. And I wouldn’t be saying that if this team didn’t have a chance to be special.

No they didn’t. Which kinda refutes the original argument.I didn’t see it, just the final. Did they have Penn State down by 27 at half?

clearly we're playing mind games with them to underestimate us when they come to town.Did you watch the second half? Maybe we should also look at the current season and compare their TTU game to ours? This is what it takes to become a final four team/championship contender. If you want to be the best, you cannot let bad habits creep in. Next thing you know it happens against Loyola. Brad knows there is enough talent on this team and he wants to bring it to us. Enjoy the ride. I’ve talked about it in the past but what did Duke do to us when they got the lead….its in their culture and expected!

I mean… it’s not though (?) There’s got to be some value in being a B10 team right? No conference game in this league is EVER the same as those out of conference cupcakes you’re referring to. This is not a team that will win zero games either — remind you Rutgers was coming off a win versus Oregon the previous game. It’s just not like that in the big ten. The fact that you have that expectation speaks to how we curb stomped them to begin with.Did you watch the second half? I literally knew we were getting here. It’s literally saying “we aren’t good because, well, we actually did so much better compared to said example.”I didn’t see it, just the final. Did they have Penn State down by 27 at half?
You obviously have all the free time. Look up how Duke put it on us with a big lead 110-67. Let me know how many final fours and National Championship Duke has. I’m watching the Indiana Oregon game! Every coach will tell you that a team doesn’t meet expectations when they LOSE. Even Brad said he wasn’t happy about the second half and in public he chose to stay positive about the first half. Back to the game.
One day this ride is going to end, like all good things do, and the people whinging over a 26 point win are going to memory hole that they ever felt this way and wax nostalgic about these games.10 years ago, we were Rutgers.
2016 Illinois: (15-19) 125 in KenPom.
Now, we’re disappointed that we only beat Rutgers by 26 as a top 10 team.
Villanova finished that season at #1 in KenPom and won the national championship. They missed the tourney altogether last year.
I will appreciate and enjoy every top 10 season.
Lol. Duke was up 58-41 in the second half against Texas Tech and lost. The exact TTU team we beat not even two months ago.You obviously have all the free time. simply because we should be 14-1... I get it. aiming for consistent performance may seem excessive to others but not to me. I don't ask others to do something I can't and more importantly what they can't. I'm very very happy with what this team is now... but I feel in my bones the missed opportunities. that's just cuz I'm a fan. I expect the standard.... especially on defense. their is a reason Brad called a timeout up 20 with 6 minutes left... it's not because he thought the game was out of hand .. it's because effort determines our future. Why, when I read this board, does it feel like our record must be 6-9 or something like that?
Good for you!!!![]()
Wait, what is the actual argument? I thought the original point was that you can’t ever lose the second half.I didn’t see it, just the final. Did they have Penn State down by 27 at half?

Michigan lost the second half to Penn State by 7 points?!

guys, neither was the original point. The original point was that we needed to beat Penn State and Rutgers by 40 a piece because supposedly that's what Michigan was doing.Original point was you can’t lose the second half and win by 26
Then the point was you can’t lose the second half when up 20+ at half
….
but it’s okay to lose the second half when up 9 at half. Lose it by seven that is — and needing to survive a last shot just to win the game.
