I am so glad some of you aren't coaches. One poster said that we kept our composure and that's because our coach doesn't fly off the handle.

Tough road game, tough environment, some tough calls against us....win by 6.

have to downgrade hook and hold from a flagrant. astute players/coaches are exploiting it in late game situations because it’s very easy for a player to make it look like they got hooked (although that iowa player didn’t even do a great job at it)

Didn’t finish like we hoped, but a win at CHA is a signature win none the less.
Love the fact that the Iowa fans were miserable they were getting blown out at home.
Then their hopes were sky high with a comeback only to be crushed with the Beloved hanging on to win having led the entire game. Having their hopes crushed in their own arena could not have happened to a more deserving program and fanbase.
Solid, solid road win.

Whew! I got real nervous after they made that run without Stirtz…and then the hook and hold call, but we made the plays we needed to at the end.

That was maybe the worst call ive ever seen other than the Rutgers call last week. These officials are a joke at best.

Great job by our guys! Although Iowa made their runs, it felt like the Illini controlled the entire game from start to finish as we would like to see against a pretty good Iowa team on the road. Wagler just makes it look so effortless out there. Good balance from our top 6 guys
