one wonders why it wasn’t tried more often last year . He obviously is not the RB we thought could get 15- 20 carries a gsme for 75-80 yards . Either he is quietly constantly hurt / hurting, or we just aren’t using hin in a way that utilizes the strengths he has

. I hope he’s paying attention in class , because he’s going to need his degree to earn a living after he graduates

If we're filling a very big positional need in the defensive trenches with (relatively) unproven pieces from 2-10 Colorado State, I'd be a bit skeptical. We need TWO proven starters at DL to replace Tomiwa and Angelo.

I think the offense has a chance to be very good, particularly the passing attack. Definitely not as encouraging on the defensive side thus far.

I’m fine adding the guy from csu if it’s a depth move. We definitely need to add 2 no doubt starters

The irony here is that McCullom has more proven production than this dude. And yet we’re hyping him up and telling McCullom to kick rocks lol. Just sorta amusing how this has all played out.

This whole thread has been one huge downer... Reading this I've been thinking that we have been transported back to the Valek or Moeller days of Illinois football... what a bummer ! ! Wake me when we get teleported back to the current coaching staff...

Seriously. I joined this board in 2011 and probably lurked it a year or two before that.

Today, both programs are the absolute healthiest they have been in that span and it isn’t particularly close, yet the tone of many of the posts are as anxious/discontent as they’ve ever been.

Agreed. But if anyone would have an excuse, it’s folks like me who have been a fan since ‘78. Ironically, I think we are the most content because of all the bad we have suffered through. It’s easy to be an Illini fan now in basketball and football (except for the blowouts like UConn bball and IU football, ugh!)

There are far more posts complaining about alleged negativity than there are actual negative posts. At least the other posts are talking about the football team and what they see as a need.
