Is Lee the better option here to step in? I know it's not ideal in either case, but sounded like Mihailo is a liability on D where Lee seems to be a defensive guy? Or do we go KW, AS, DM, Twins!?
Worried, but thats why you have depth. Petrovich and lee will have to play more. Team will have to find its rhythm and roles again. Will be rocky im sure, but we should be able to withstand a little. Meaning win the games we are supposed to, but our chances of winning the tougher games for sure go down.
There’s no sense in playing Petrovic unless you put the ball in his hands. And if you put the ball in his hands, you’re taking it out of Keaton’s hands, which I don’t think we want to do.
Hopefully Maryland doesn’t put up too much of a fight and we can get in the lab a little.
We may now have to bump Keaton's (Big10) mpg up from 39.5 to 40.0.
Really hoping that Petrovic will savor the moment and re-establish himself. If he tightens the handles, he'll be perfectly fine on offense. He has a great sense for the game. But we are going to have to make some big adjustments on D.
Even if the light bulb comes on for Mahailo I just don’t think you can take the ball out of Keaton’s hands is the issue. We need the ball in Keaton’s hands 30+ minutes a game.
There's no reason Petrovic shouldn't see significantly more minutes. Playing him was at the sacrifice of Keaton and Kylan, and Brad wasn't going to do that. The Serbian prince's 14.2 ppg and 7.3 apg, in the ABA Liga certainly put us in position to keep winning games
I'm so old I remember when the BT departed from the ironclad Saturday/Monday slate and began playing games on Thursday nights because of liberalized TV coverage.
In the long run this may help us this means Petrovic and Lee are now going to get some meaningful minutes this next month before Kylan comes back. Hopefully Kylan will be able to play at the high level he has been doing when he returns.
Welp, color me optimistic, but something's telling me Petro is going to step up and meet this challenge big time.
Now it could be excess caffeine talking (typing lol), but more likely it's that he's 23 and 30+ minutes per game will let him find his rhythm with the team.
I'm also not too afraid of watching Brandon Lee guarding for 10 mpg.
