Which one is before and which one is after? 100% agree, I'd be embarrassed to have this posted if I was 40 again, never mind at his 20 something years (and my almost 70 years!)

He appears to have lost body fat and not gained an ounce of muscle. So: maybe a bit quicker, definitely weaker.

A lot of S&C at the college level is cargo cult stuff.

Seems like he might fit well as an off the bench guy. He doesn't have the positional size the staff likes, but he had the attitude and energy as a defender. He's improved as a shooter --just looking up his stats, he's 48% FG, 37% from 3, and 82% from the line. Not sure if he makes those improvements in the BIG, or coming off the bench, but kudos to him for what he's done at UNLV. His TO ratio is bad. He'd have to play very differently here, and play a different role.

Lee and Petrovic gonna get a lot more opportunities

This is the purest version of "he just went from not flexing to flexing" which is always at least a small part of these photos.

I mean, if this was my before and after I’d be pretty happy with it. But I’m in my 50s and not at the peak of my athletic abilities. I’m also not 7 feet tall.

We’ve seen many “Fletches” that are significantly more impressive than this.

Yes that Nebraska game is massive. If we can win that, we can AFFORD losses to Purdue, MSU, and 1 of Wisconsin/Indiana/west coast - and still host Michigan with 4 losses.

However, I actually think MSU is an easier game for us than Nebraska. I keep waiting for them to have an awful game, but never to be. Hopefully it’s saved up for our game.

this just seems like another one of those things where some people are looking atit from a coach's pov and others are looking at it from a pure analysis standpoint

like sure, when players appear to give a little less effort the coach's mindset is its unacceptable and guys should be ashamed while the analysis mindset is more like, hey, it happens to the best of em sometimes

same thing here, come in with coach's mindset of oh hey we can't worry about a game next month, we have to worry about whats in front of us, while the people coming to it with an analysis mindset are like hey why am i limited to discussing a single game lol
