The AFC bracket broke so well for the Bills this year with no Mahomes, Burrow, and Lamar. Getting knocked out in the divisional round meant someone had to fall on the sword.
I truly thought they were at least winning the AFC til that game ended. Allen made way too many mistakes for a guy with that much playoff experience. Maybe he is the Marino of the modern era. Tho Dan at least made a Super Bowl.

Yes? It made watching it so much worse.

Hyper bright white superimposed on a snowy field with 1 team wearing white jerseys. Says something that they stopped it after 10 mins..

Fair enough. That being said, they had to have some way for the fans watching at home to be able to see where on the field the teams were though.

Devon with two huge pass breakups on back to back plays in crunch time!

When it's against a Stan Kroenke owned team, it's even more sweet.
Honest question, what’s wrong with Stan Kroenke? Why don’t we like him?

I can only speak as a former St. Louis Rams season ticket holder. He lied about his intent to leave for LA, intentionally bled the team of resources to try and kill the fan base to build a stronger case to move the team and then trash-talked St. Louis as a NFL city on his way out.
There are other business and humanity reasons to despise him as a human being. Other than that, I guess he’s ok.

His son played basketball at Miznoz.....reason enough.

Got it. The Rams thing. As not a fan of the Rams, I guess that didn’t register for me. Sometimes I forget how many St. Louis area folks are Illini/Illini fans. Thanks for the insight.

Just as an addendum, he also owns the Colorado Avalanche so that's why when the Blues and Avs played in the playoffs a few years back, there were so many fans chanting "F*** You Kroenke" during the games in St. Louis.

It doesnt even affect me and I've been rooting for the STL Battlehawks since the original XFL reboot. Hopefully they can be good this year in the UFL with a new HC.

St. Louis has been treated badly by the NFL more than any other city in the Nation.

When St. Louis was denied the expansion franchise in the '90s that eventually went to Jacksonville, the City movers-and-shakers went to work and did the unlikely – to find a way to bag the Rams for the City. They build the stadium and fans paid those license/ticket fees to bring the franchise to town. At least for a few years, the St. Louis area was rewarded with an outstanding and fun team to watch.

But money talks (big) and loyalty walks (easily). A guy with ties to Missouri did not care when obscene riches were to made back in Southern California. As if he needed more than he already had.

It’s not likely St. Louis will ever get an NFL team again. Too many other cities around the Nation (and now the World) who will throw whatever money and tax breaks an Owner wants and he/she will do what he/she always does – follow the money. Loyalty in the NFL might be found among teammates and coaches but there is no loyalty between Owners and the City where a team is (temporarily?) playing.

The NFL is a business, period. That’s what many fans either forget or don’t want to see. Fans form a connection to a team and then ‘love’ them. Players and coaches come and go. And Owners?... They’ll do what They always do... and for the same reason.

This is why I won't watch the Bears if they leave the state. Probably an unpopular opinion, and a lot of people go "you'll still watch."

I won't. I went to school in Chicago, lived there for a huge chunk of my life, grew up in the suburbs around Bears fans but it's just not the same when you can walk to the stadium down the street. Take that away from me and I won't forget. I'm not against accruing large amounts of wealth but remember who brought you to where you are.

It’s not like they’re talking about moving to Muncie or Ft Wayne. Hammond or Gary are just as far from Soldier Field as Arlington Heights is.

And Soldier Field isn’t easily walked to as it is now.

I know it's a game and random stuff can happen but I was shocked when the game opened Seattle -3.5. I see its already gone to -4.5. Barring the unforeseen I sense a 1980's era NFC beatdown of the AFC champ in this game. I know weather played a factor in the second half but the difference in apparent caliber of teams involved between the AFC game & the NFC game was stark. Both the Rams & Seattle look significantly better.

Wonder how the Vikings are feeling seeing Sam Darnold put on a show and heading to the Super Bowl.

so much of the NFL is all about timing
- being at the right spot at the right time . careers have flourished (& others withered) because the right coaches & right complimentary players were there at the time ( or weren’t there )

Packers & Chiefs have been beneficiaries of this often , while Bears haven’t . one wonders how Mahomes would have done if Bears selected him and not Trubiskey .

Since the NFL is Business first and Sports-and-entertainment second... finances for enrichment will dictate where the Bears end up.

Either the State of Illinois gives away the (taxpayer’s) store and makes the Bears an offer it can’t refuse – or the State of Indiana will make a lucrative offer while already offering tax advantages over Illinois.

A Bears move to Indiana would profoundly have a greater positive overall impact on the Chicago region. Northwest Indiana has been suffering mightily since the downfall of big industry and they desperately need a big economic transformation. A Bears move to NW Indi will spur all kinds of new economic growth and will remake the area in a big way. In this way, a Bears move would not only serve their business-first NFL orientation but also at the same time do some good beyond just their own interests.

I dislike him, but they should close the HOF if he isn't in it.
