I was thinking the same, but the past few have been co awarded. Kind of odd. Are these voted on by 6 people or something?

I have a feeling he'd have won it outright if he wasn't also winning Freshman of the Week. Which is dumb, because essentially he gets dinged for being a Freshman, which should make his week more impressive if anything.

Co B10 is comical. That's the greatest performance since who knows when.
Fears did it in a home game against an awful team (and still not nearly the insane stat line).

Co player of the week is laughable, an absolute joke. Literally the best performance by a freshman at Purdue and he has to share it with Fears because he played well against a horrible team? lol
otoh, altho KW is a pretty cool cucumber, maybe this co- thing gets him even more fired up for the next couple games
Who at this point is in line for BT POY? Keaton top 5 at this point.

Player of the Week awards exist solely to be chum for social media promotion, and only giving out one per week is a meager ration of chum for an 18 team conference.
Nick Martinelli, Bruce Thornton, Bennett Stirtz, Hannes Steinbach, Pryce Sandfort all contenders.
Wagler has a big problem which is that his teammates are too good. He may yet conquer that limitation in this race.
OK Big10, You're setting your own roster this week and it's down to Wagler or Fears. Who you taking?

Yeah I shouldn't have forgotten him.
Lendeborg has the same problem as Wagler, best guy on a loaded team where a bunch of others might take center stage on many nights. Not even averaging 15 a game.
I can't think of a bigger shock hit for an Illinois recruit ever, but maybe my recency bias is working against me.
I think player of the year will be between these 4: Yaxel, Jeremy Fears, Braden Smith, Keaton Wagler.
Wagler's the best scorer out of all of them. Fears and Smith's assist totals are insane however (#1 and #2 in the nation respectively).
