um beats, erm, um by exact same score that we did, 77-67. gophers’ best player played in our game, though.

Missouri slowly but surely inching towards a Q1 win.
Yeah I was rooting for them..

Here are the two plays:

The broadcast clip was a ton more apparent than this gif. However, #3 does catch the Indiana player’s left leg here. Just no idea what this NW player was thinking — at this point they were up 3 with 8.4 seconds.

This one is CLEARLY a foul and should’ve been 3 FTs. Happened up 3 with around 4 seconds left.

The obvious thought would be maybe they were trying to foul up 3 — but that wasn’t the case. They had plenty of time to foul as IND brought the ball up but didn’t.

If Illinois ever wins a game like this — yes I’ll take it… but man it’d be hard not to be INFURIATED about that lack of discipline.

It's hard for me to feel bad for IU when you score 26 points in the second half against Northwestern. Should a foul or two been called? Sure but don't put yourself in that position against that team to have to rely on a call just to maybe tie the game. I was listening to an IU postgame show and they said the same thing. You gotta put that game away. I'd say the same thing about Illinois if they were in that situation. Don't mess around and leave it in the hands of the officials.

From Indiana's perspective, absolutely they did not play well. At times they just look so incohesive.

Watching it live, I was just extremely startled by NW's poor discipline; perhaps because I was rooting for them the entire time. You watch the game from the perspective of the team you're rooting for.

They're incredibly lucky to pull this one out.

Was busy last night and didn't get to watch any ball

- NW hopefully a Q1 when NET updates this morning
- Arizona really went through it vs a bad Baylor team
- Michigan beats Minn by same exact score as we did
- Texas Tech beat Cincy team that just murdered KU (no Toppin)
- BYU just handled Iowa St and then gets rolled by UCF
- Missouri beats Tennessee (possible Q1 at some point?)
- St Louis gets beat like a drum by Dayton

This season is getting super interesting, it seems like you just never know who is going to beat who on any given night. Win vs USC by 36 and then lose to UCLA and then they play each other and USC kind of holds their own for most of the game (just looking at play-by-play data).

There's often a narrative here that we always have nobody-type player (for lack of a better term) go off on us.

Mizzou had a guy named TO Barrett, who averages 8ppg, go off for 28 in win over TENN. He could not be stopped.
