Andrej and Tomi have been completely underwhelming. Lights too bright?
I think they both are just passive guys. From time to time you’ll see them fired up and locked in, but they are who they are.

I hate Fichigan, BUT they are clearly the better team tonight. If we can keep it within single digits, that would be an accomplishment. I've went from final four dreams to Elite 8 hopes.
Way to give up. Nice.

Wagler is very good no doubt, but whenever he has a very good/elite defender his height or taller who is long and athletic, he does not look like a lottery pick IMO. Can’t remember who guarded him against MSU, but it was the same thing.
Also, think about the Purdue game. He didn’t exactly have an athletic guy his height guarding him.
Great young player, but in the NBA he’ll have an athletic guy his height guarding him every night. His lack of quickness is going to be an issue at the next level. Buutttt, I could be wrong. 😁

Morez has turned into a very good B1G warrior. That said, I do not want him in an Illini uniform if he agrees to a NIL contract and then grabs another. He has to live with that for the rest of his life as he has proved to not be a man of his word. Instead he is a Cheatgian Man which is the lowest of low.

Honestly, I think the worse thing to happen to Keaton was getting 46 at Purdue. Since then, he's been a focus of every other team. They are not going to let him beat them.

Sadly I don’t even know what Andrej’s role is on this team. He doesn’t have one major strength, not a good shooter, struggles in traffic and not a good defender. Insane amount of money for someone not producing.
Agreed. Martinelli would have been the better option…

Brad says this team has more options this year. Let's be real against Average to above average teams that is the case against the elite teams (Michigan, Duke and Zona) for sure. We have 1 shot and that is elite shooting from 3

Honestly credit Michigan for that. Putting length on Keaton has kept him in check and they aren’t allowing many offensive boards. They have brought it tonight and I don’t think we’ve played terribly. Feels like I’m going to hell now for giving props to the evil empire.

I think we have played pretty terribly

3-14 from 3
7 turnovers

Both very uncharacteristic

Good summary - we win with offensive rebounds... we don't have many of those. Our two best players are Mirk and Boswell. Hummer is good off the bench. We need to get Andrej the ball quicker and play zone when Z is in the game. This a good test. Let's see what we are made of.
We have 7. On pace for 14.

We average 13 per game.

After reading about halftime takes idk why but had me thinking of the pink locker room at Iowa should we incorporate that next season going forward?

He is pretty good getting downhill but tough when a 7-5 guy is back there

Would be a great time for our prized offseason acquisition to affect the game
I won’t hold my breath on AS. There’s a reason he’s still coming off the bench and got 5 mins in the first half. Tomi, I expect more from. Kylan, please stop shooting 3’s and drive every time and get to the line.

If we don’t decisively win the rebounding battle, Michigan can run away with this game. 7 Michigan offensive boards in the 1st half.
I agree with you and Illinifinn. We aren’t playing well and getting exposed for our weaknesses again, but we can still win this game.

Will we make the adjustments needed is what willl tell.

Michigan is faster, stronger, more athletic and everything you want, but they have flaws and we can exploit them.

Michigan is big and strong and fast. That helps you play good basketball…
They are beating us down the floor, too, for easy baskets or putbacks.
However, if we were just 6/14 from 3 we’d be ahead, so the path is there.

Plus Isivic brothers have been a non-factor. They need to contribute on the boards and a few points
