He only had 1 year at Evansville and 2 here though? Juco isn't supposed to countBen is done after this year …

AJ Redd probablyIt's Senior Night for Kylan and Ben. I can't imagine that either one would let the team lose on their Senior Night and I hope the rest of the team feels the same.
Do we know if anyone else will be walking on Senior Night?
Ben is done after this year …
He's about to break that wall down!We need to put the hammer to Oregon so we can rest players as Wagler has hit the wall.
I think the waiver for former NAIA/JUCO athletes just gives them additional 1 year and doesn't just completely start the clock over when they move to D1
B. Undies asking for the nasty out of the team. Who is going to get the nasty started? When will the nasty get released?
Davis has been the one guy to not lose sight of his assignment. Admittedly, his role is limited, but he's played it perfectly.Jake Davis brought it against Michigan …
He had the f’ing fire !!!!![]()
My understanding is that his two years at an NAIA school (not a JuCo) counts as one year. Add one year at Evansville and two years here, and you get four. I thought for a long time he could just ignore the NAIA years, but it does not work that one. Someone else needs to find the backup for this argument. It was shown to me before, but I forgot it and lack the stamina to look it up for myself. So the ball he played before Evansville does count?
NCAA math: 2+1+2=4, no wonder they have issues in court explaining their rules. My understanding is that his two years at an NAIA school (not a JuCo) counts as one year. 100. Vice versa as well, given his future plans at Madison. Great to see.I realize this is high-schoolish, but I’d really like to see AJ Redd get a start tomorrow night. Sub him out at the first dead ball. Barring that, I sure as heck hope his teammates take care of business to the extent he’s on the floor when the game ends. By all accounts, he’s been an asset to the program.
Have a great time!Anybody going to the game? I will be there, very rare for me to go mid-week but a special occasion.
If the five year clock began at the beginning of Year 2 NAIA (which I think is correct), then his fifth year ran out at the end of this, his sixth overall year. From ChatGPT:
- If you’ve used fewer than 4 seasons at NAIA and your five-year clock still has time left, you may be eligible to compete at the NCAA Division I school for the remaining seasons within that five-year window
I assume Ben got a waiver for this year because:
Year 1 NAIA: didn’t play
Year 2 NAIA: played (clock starts)
Year 3 NAIA: played
Year 4 D1: Evansville
Year 5 D1: Illinois
Year 6 D1: Illinois
The NCAA gives a 5 year clock to NAIA athletes transferring up to D1 and they start the clock when they start PLAYING NAIA not just attending.
For JUCO athletes, they don’t start the clock till guys get to the D1 or D2 NCAA level. NAIA they start it when you first start playing NAIA
