There were a lot of losses in the top 10 last week, but a lot of wins behind us. I think MSU passes us for sure, Alabama will be right there, Texas Tech and Nebraska will be right there as well.

I say #14.
Too low. Michigan State and maybe texas tech leaprfrog. But Purdue (Lost to MSU and Ohio St), Gonzaga (Lost to St Marys by 11) both drop. Late in the year, the pollsters start looking at the net because the body of work is large enough that you don't necessarily just move down 4 spots after a loss to the #3 team in the country. I'd guess they are 10 or 11, probably 10.

It would seem strange to lose to an unranked UCLA team and not drop 1 spot. Yet we lose to a Top 3 ranked team and drop multiple spots, especially with all the teams around us that lost too.

But what do I know?

I think it will really depend on how the pollsters view our result vs. Michigan. If it was seen as more of a confirmation that Michigan really is THAT good because they can go dominate a top 10 team on their home floor, then I think we won't drop all that much (maybe #13), given the other losses around the country. However, if pollsters saw our effort (regardless of result) as indicative of "where this team is at" or whatever, then they could really start to weigh the whole "2-4 in their last 6" narrative more heavily, and I could see a surprisingly big drop to closer to #15 or #16.

Personally, I would rank us at #13. The WAY we have played in our last three halves of basketball just looks night-and-day worse than what we'd seen previously, even including the Wisconsin loss, given we were so short-handed. I think it's fair for the pollsters to make us earn back a little faith.

Betting markets still have our championship odds roughly tied for 6th with UConn. We're all disappointed with the last 6 games, and it was a missed opportunity to jump some teams with better resumes & worse metrics, but if someone told us at the beginning of the season that we'd be here, I think almost all of us would've been happy.

lol , vanderfraud lost to an unranked mediocre UK team by 14 points and ROSE 1 SPOT from # 25 to # 24.............

Not surprised this time of year because body of work as a whole is more definitive. Makes it more difficult to move up or down multiple spots. Since Purdue and Iowa state lost, that helped us some. I am hoping we can finish strong and we get a favorable 2 seed.

Illinois #11 in AP Poll

Miami of Ohio and 29-0, ranked 19, hasn’t played anyone of any significance, has one of the worst strength of schedule ratings in the,the top 100, and should scare the crap out of anyone who meets him in the NCAA

Vandy is 18th in resume rankings, 15th in efficiency rankings, and tied for 18th (with 5 other teams) in betting odds. While their performance against UK (who should probably be around 25) shouldn't help them, Vandy was under-ranked prior to this.

11 is correct. We lost to the number 3 team and other teams in our vicinity lost or lost twice last week.

We come in at 11th. This maps I think to fact we are now a 3 seed if today was Selection Sunday. MSU rightfully nabs the 2 seed over IL, PU, and ‘Braska. I believe the B1G will only get one 2-seed while Big 12 will have two (like Iowa State and Houston). MSU would need to lose very poorly vs. UM away and lose to Nebraska in the BTT quarters to drop out off the 2 line.

Nuts.

Small and their resume sucks. Played a nobody non-conference schedule like Indiana and Virginia.

Their best win was a home one where Philon sat out the final 16 minutes of the game (scored 18 points in the 20 minutes he played). Congrats boys.....

They don't deserve to be ranked. Love seeing them exposed because they'll get cooked by anyone with size

#11 team in the country and this board reads like we are in Rutgers shoes. Never change loyalty.
Context does matter- before the season, if you told me we'd be #11 and 22-7, with the quad 1 wins we have, we'd all be pretty happy.

But we've also seen the potential of this team and the opportunity that was in front of us (granted there is still plenty of opportunity left). So on one hand, I'm generally happy with our seasons results yet I'm also incredibly discouraged with us not taking advantage of the opportunity we had. If we win out, I'll be happy with the last 2 seed in the tourney. But I can't help but think about the fact that we had a chance at a 1 seed and especially the number one overall 2 seed.

Our fans have high expectations for our program and there's nothing wrong with that. This season had the potential to be historic during the season, but we've dropped the ball on that chance. Thankfully, postseason still has the chance to be historic, but many fans feel disillusioned that in the biggest game of the season against the best opponent we've played- we looked completely outclassed. So I personally feel less optimistic about our potential in the post season.
