Do you think Buzz will work at Maryland?

I knew it would be a challenge his first year there, but the extent of their stink surprised me a bit.
Yes, he will get them to a competitive level again within the next two years. He had next to nothing to work with this year, and the next to went down with an injury early on. They’re a defeated bunch, but it won’t last too long.

Last game of the season so anything can happen, but even though we may not be playing our best ball at the moment, the team hasn’t shown an tendency to play down to Marylands level all year.

Closest would maybe be the Washington game or @NW? But both those teams are 60-70 spots better on KenPom, both were ultimately still comfortable wins, and NW probably would have been a blowout but for the goofy hook and hold and technical foul sequence that gave NW a free 10-0 run basically.

Illinois has a tendency to let some not very good teams' hand around. They need to make a big statement in this game. Shooting has to be better and more consistent if they want to go very far. Oh they need to play solid defense in every game. You don't win titles with porous defense!

I am rarely confident about a game against Maryland but I can't bring myself to worry about this game. Last time we played them Keaton went 1-9 from 3 and we didn't have Boswell and we won by 19. We are going to blow these guys out on their home floor as our final prep for the postseason.

I just got two tickets in Row 1 behind the Illinois bench! Does anyone have advice on close in parking? I had surgery recently and would like to avoid a walk if possible. I do NOT have an ADA card, however. Cost does not matter.

Don’t just get lazy and start jacking threes. These guys have no interest in guarding anyone. If they are going to give you layups and dunks all afternoon, take them.

Unless you've got a UMD basketball pass and can park in Terrapin Garage or the surface lots adjacent to the arena, your best best it to buy a pass to the Regents Drive Garage. It's less than a 10-min walk, $27 all-in. You may be able to find premium parking on Seat Geek or Stub Hub.

I haven't posted this GIF nearly enough the last few games. This will be Keaton' time to shine again! A nice 30 point effort would suffice...
