My question would be why is that not a Flagrant 2 and instead a Flagrant 1? It's not a basketball play, it's excessive contact, it's a purposeful kick to another player with intent to harm out of frustration. If he was facing the player and he decided to intentionally kick the player in the nuts because the player was guarding him, is that still a flagrant 1? And this is what the 4th kicking offense of this nature he's had this season? Should've been an immediate ejection, plain and simple.

No chance B10 does it but B10 should make a statement saying it should have been a flagrant 2 and an automatic ejection and considering the multiple similar infractions he's had this year he needs to serve a 1 game suspension.

So, so much ISO. We have no faith in our high ball screen offense. It was basically give the ball to Mirk in the high post.

Wagler looks like a shell of himself.

Andrej has a mandatory TO on his first drive of every game. And then shortly after he’ll get his ish packed.

Tomi can’t shoot a j anymore. Z can’t rebound vs. people 3 inches shorter (just gets bullied out of position - saw this prominently vs. Morez).

I am so glad thet Jeremy Fears is not an Illini. I can’t imagine being able to be proud of my team if he was on it. It would ruin the whole thing for me. It would be even worse if we won a banner with a dirty player. I’d never be able to be very proud of the banner. Gross.

Projected 2 seed in the NCAAs.

- Wagler is injured and looks/plays like a good player but not an All American
- Tomi’s season PPG is about to drop into the single digits, can’t seem to buy a 3, his rebounding is down relative to earlier in the season.
- Z rebounding and blocking has trended downward. No comment on his scoring.
- Staj averages 1 assist a game and can’t shoot 3s. So his value is therefore defense, rebounding, and points in the paint. That’s not consistently there game to game for the highest paid guy on the roster.
- Boswell can look amazing. Single handedly kept us in the game in the first half vs. Michigan. But he’s not been the promised shut down defender. Can’t shoot 3s. And his ability to get points in the point, like Andrej, is inconsistent. He doesn’t assist like a PG or shoot like an SG.

Jake and Ben are role players. They’re full effort every night. No comment there.

The team is hobbling into single elimination season.

Let’s hope some rest and time in Chicago resets the mojo. Sadly, this was supposed to be get right week for the team. Today didn’t reflect that. Just raised further questions about glaring issues with the team that consistently popped up in the last month.

Absolutely agree. But when you look at what has been swept under the rug with MSU’s basketball program under Izzo, it makes total sense why no one at MSU cares a lot about a dirty player.
