Wait, why did the Washington guy shove his teammate? That was super weird. I’ve never seen that. What a disgustingly stupid play by the Washington player. You want to foul the big whose a worse foul shooter. As his teammate is going to do just that, he shoves him down??
Was he trying to help him get there faster to commit the foul? But ended up pushing him down? So weirdWait, why did the Washington guy shove his teammate? That was super weird. I’ve never seen that.

Let's be fair, Darren Peterson isn't going to play this week.View attachment 48212
Just like I saw all day yesterday…poor traction on that stupid court. Imagine if Darryn Peterson or Dybantsa go down this week with an injury. The Big 12 commissioner should be run out of town.

I would hypothesize that this is a situation where the overall stats don't jive with subjective experience, because we are likely "pretty good overall" but there seem to be some especially momentum-shifting times where we leave someone way too open who's been shooting well. I would have to rewatch the full game to point to specifics, but I definitely remember a time or two where Keaton collapsed on a guy driving when there was already someone else helping, and they kicked it out to Keaton's guy to hit a WIDE open three that got Maryland back within one possession rather late in the game.I can’t speak to the eye test of “leaving 3 point shooters open” because I think that’s rather subjective on who or what you consider a 3 point shooter.
But our opponents shoot 31.7% from 3. Thats 6th best (defense against) in the big ten. But 2-6 are all in the 31% - and we actually rank ahead of MSU. Basically identical to Iowa state and Houston who are top ten defenses, and better than Florida who is top 5…
Now, other things going into what that means ofcourse. But I do think if we truly left good 3 point shooters consistently that open, our percentages would be far worse there

Nebraksa was so godawful I remember they recruited their own football players to play in this game. They’re now the #2 seed.
Not so sure……I think Indiana is out already. Miami should be in.
Exactly. That's the type of SOS that Chicago State would have. To be a mid major, it's unacceptable. They're tugging in the committee's hearts to find a way, which is ridiculous. This is what a lot of people were saying
Apart from the fact that Miami (OH) did not play a single Q1 or Q2 game (!!),This is what a lot of people were saying
They’re 2-0 in Q2.Apart from the fact that Miami (OH) did not play a single Q1 or Q2 game (!!),
they sqweeked by on a lot of their other games.
Whomever did the scheduling for them did them a disservice, imo.
If they don't make it, in the future they will be a great trivia question.
