That Iowa State-Arizona was one of the best games I’ve watched in years. Both teams played up and hit big shot after big shot. It’s a shame AZ hit the game winner bc it was a ton of fun. I was hoping for OT after that Big 3 by the cyclones.

As a side note, I love our team but we aren’t ready after seeing some of these games. We have to get tougher. The end is near, play like it.

Yep the top 6-8 teams (or wherever you draw the line) are so good this year.

Normally I root for chaos in March but this year will be very entertaining if the top seeds are facing each other in the E8 and F4. Of course I will still root for chaos in our regional as long as we are still playing.

So we are not playing our best ball, far from it. But UCLA is taking it to Sparty, who looked like the second best team in the league. Wisconsin just won at Mackey. Nebraska, who is also not playing their best ball, just got waxed by 16 by Purdue and also lost at UCLA by 20. And we still barely lost to Wisconsin and UCLA in overtime and had 15+ point leads in each.

A really rambling way of saying, what if we are running into teams that are playing really good ball? And we are building really big leads and barely losing in OT with our B/C game?

Not saying we will turn it around, but just saying we aren’t far off. We regain just a little bit of our form and we can go on a run and maybe compete with the big boys.

Tough injury for Bilodeau for UCLA. He's out the rest of the game (no indication of longer but didn't look good). UCLA up 11 at the start of the second half. We'll see if they can keep it up without him.

Edit: and Cronin made a comment about it being 5 on 8 at the half.

Whoa. Hold on. That type of sane reasoning isn't tolerated here.

I think the vast majority of us would agree that our A game can give us a shot vs. anyone. And I’m hopeful we have the consistency to string together several in a row starting next week, but the defense and toughness will need to improve. Holding on to a double digit lead is a MUST to advance … it takes a lot of effort to gain those leads, and we can’t cough them up.

And Kansas is playing the role of Camp Crystal Lake counselor.

KU didn’t score a FG for the first 9:30 of the 2nd half. They look terrible again. 20% shooting. And with under 8:00 they still have just the one FG
