I thought the Big 12 went to a better court? Their commissioner is just trying to get canned right?

We have now seen the 5, 6, and 7 seeds advancing today. All upsets today except Michigan. Misery loves company. But it also shows the volatility going on and how we need to simma’down a bit as Illini fans.

Truth. Doesn’t necessarily spell doom.
But d*** it, I get it.

We’re better than MSU and Nebraska I expect more.

But I thought we looked fresh to start today. Use the rest, get home. And as always, find a way to try and turn this positive

Cronin "wouldn't speculate" what Bilodeau's injury is, but then mentioned a sprain. Said he's out tomorrow. He then said he is going "somewhere to get imaging".

I think the vast majority of us would agree that our A game can give us a shot vs. anyone. And I’m hopeful we have the consistency to string together several in a row starting next week, but the defense and toughness will need to improve. Holding on to a double digit lead is a MUST to advance … it takes a lot of effort to gain those leads, and we can’t cough them up.
We are in mid March. If it’s not there now, it won’t be there.

Big Ten Tournament Semifinal Saturday, if you're into that sorta thing-

Michigan vs Wisconsin, 12:00pm CT, CBS

UCLA vs Purdue, 2:30pm CT, CBS
I was so bummed out with our loss that I didn't watch the evening session last night...........I really really didn't.......

watching fears flopping and getting phantom foul calls after watching Keaton getting mugged and no foul calls wasn't appealing to me after we lost another big lead and game..............hope we get a good seed and bracket Sunday.....we are a very good team but losing big leads and games has me worried what will transpire in this upcoming Dance.............it really really has..............

For me it helped a lot to see 2 other top 4 seeds lose yesterday. Especially MSU. And then seeing Kansas get stomped on. Reinforces how much volatility there is this year. Even if we were going in hot a bad loss can happen.

Nice efficient game and career high for DJ Armstrong, Jr, to put UMBC in the tourney. He was 9-11 from field, including 7-9 from three, and 8-9 from the line for 33 points in 36 minutes. Only other stat he had was 2 rebounds. Not even a foul. Averaged 12.6 ppg on season, though he did put up 31 points earlier in season.

I don’t know what I want to have happen in this semifinal. I suppose I want Michigan to win by 50. I wish no harm on anyone but if a meteor has to land on a populated area today I vote for the United Center.

Silver lining. We were spared watching a game against Michigan with Lil Larry and high knees on the same crew. Likely would have rivaled yesterday's officiating debacle.

It’s amazing how bad some of these teams look offensively when they aren’t playing us or how good they look when they play us. For a while, you’re ignorant enough to think its bad luck, until you realize there’s always one common denominator.

Wisconsin looks extremely pedestrian, just like they did against Washington

Wisky bombers hitting front of rim. Well, at least we wore out their arms and legs.

Uh oh they just woke up
