I think his level of success there is greatly exaggerated on this board because he won two games against the worst team BU has fielded since he turned this program around. He had one good season (in which he went 10-10 in conference, despite those two wins against us) and then immediately bailed before there was any way to know if it was the beginning of something or just a blip.did Shrews just catch lightning in a bottle at Penn State with that group?
I would think Butler would look at Groce and Steele.Shrewsberry is doing EVERYTHING he can to try and get the Butler job …

Sure would have been nice if Guenther had at least asked. But he wasn’t going to talk with anyone he thought would possibly use Illinois as a stepping stone.'04-'05 was great, but for long-term health of the program, i wish guenther hired matta in 2003. (assuming he would come here. i've also read that even though he was from illinois, he didn't cared about us and grew up a hoosier fan.)
my second cousins co-workers best friend is a real estate agent & was showing Jay Wright houses available in Mahomet last weekend
I'd bet my poster of Rennie Clemons throwing down a two-handed dunk in Shaq's face that it's not true.my second cousins co-workers best friend is a real estate agent & was showing Jay Wright houses available in Mahomet last weekend
Oh wow, not sure how I forgot the BTT game. My brain must have just walled that memory off for my own mental stability.*3 times (including BTT).
But agree, the cupboard was bare after Pickett left. Good for him for securing a nice payday from ND. But appears his offensive prowess was a little exaggerated. ACC ain’t exactly a gauntlet these days.

Hell, I'd even bet my Brian Cook jersey worn by Shaun LivingstonI'd bet my poster of Rennie Clemons throwing down a two-handed dunk in Shaq's face that it's not true.
It's going to be a madhouse when they face each other in the elite eightI don’t know if either would take it without a major financial commitment …
But they’d be the exact two I’d target …
Not sure how many on here know this but they’re actually brothers …

Ryan Pedon? LOL. ISU hasn't improved much in his time there. Maybe their hoops budget blows. I dunno. I'm just surprised they're not a much better mid-major program. Probably need a new or upgraded arena.Sounds like some other names to know for Butler besides Shrews, Steele and Groce …
Ronald Nored … Ryan Pedon … Bob Richey …

TOO SOON!!!! I would be a happier man if I had skipped all 3 of those games. I'm convinced that if we got all of the personnel and coaches back together and played again, we would lose. 4,5,6 in a row. If Brad closed his eyes and told one of the smarter players to coach, we might win.*3 times (including BTT).

Amazing! ISU might not feel too badly about that although I'm not sure who they can land with their old arena and limited budget.I have heard Ryan Pedon is in the final two for the Cincinnati job.
