It's for real starting tomorrow. We have a chance to go on a deep run with the draw we have. Need to stay focused, keep energy all 40. Big opportunity in this tournament.
Yeah it was the best game of his careerApparently Power had 44pts and 14rebs in their tourney final?![]()
Sounds like he's interviewing for a job with Baltimore RavensMind games ! Don’t fall for it !
I believe we only lead the entire game in those last 12 seconds. That was some major heartburn.
Do you know how glad I am we're no longer in a situation where we're only scoring 54? Seesh.
6, DUH!yeesh. ctrl+f situation. not great, but let's get 3 or 4 wins starting tomorrow
Amen, brother. Let's go ~ 2x54: cue up last year's 106-94 thrashing of Iowa in the BTT (and Fran's ejection... and Sandfort's tears.) That was NBA stylz.Do you know how glad I am we're no longer in a situation where we're only scoring 54? Seesh.
Sleep on the A10 at your own peril. That's a good basketball conference. I don't think either team is a doormat but I would probably rather play UNC.“Worse team” when they’re seeded 6 compared to VCU who’s 11? VCU wouldn’t have even gotten in had they not won their tournament. It some point common sense can’t be so complicated.
It’s literally a case of would you rather play VCU or North Carolina.
The best power conference teams are older and deeper than ever and the can also plug any holes in their roster from year to year. Plus, guys stay in college longer due to NIL and good young mid major players jump to the P5 level for NIL(Would Steph, Lillard, Obi Toppin, or CJ Mccollum have stayed at their schools?)My theory is NIL causes the talent to pool at power conf schools that have the money and we'll see less and less upsets in the tournament and you get chalky results like we've seen in recent years
Those Plummer free throws were absolute ONIONS.I believe we only lead the entire game in those last 12 seconds. That was some major heartburn.
Is this the same VCU that the committee chair said wasn't getting an at large bid?Sleep on the A10 at your own peril. That's a good basketball conference. I don't think either team is a doormat but I would probably rather play UNC.
VCU also would have had a legitimate shot of getting an at large bid either way. They have a very similar resume to Saint Louis(they are in the 40s for kenpom, net, bart, etc.). They are one of the best 3pt shooting teams in the country and the Illini aren't really the type of team to take advantage of their lack of a true center.
UNC simply isn't nearly as dangerous without Wilson and Hubert Davis is an idiot. Maybe Trimble could kill us on the dribble drive the way a lot of smaller guards that don't shoot very well seem to but I would probably rather play a soft UNC team on its last legs than a VCU team that you know if going to be hungry and ready to play.
Call Gies!!! I believe he has the Midas touch!!!
ENJOY !!!!!....FOTN and family are headed to San Pedro for a week, so “work” of any kind is a no-go! Very pumped to get settled into the villa, get some carryout pizza and watch the Illini win their First Round game on our first night there!!![]()
Compare their resume to Saint Louis who got an at large 9 seed.Is this the same VCU that the committee chair said wasn't getting an at large bid?
