CBS has been dropping the ball lately when it comes to the political spectrum so it's not a surprise that they hired a bum like Pearl. Unfortunately, some see Pearl as being very charismatic and charming. It's what got him so popular at Tennessee. Jalen Rose/Jamal Mashburn are good though.

Houston is going to be a tough out. I have a hard time seeing Illinois beating them if they get past VCU. Houston is the same caliber as Michigan/Arizona/Duke in my mind.

They have yet to prove it. Haven't beat anyone in the top 10 yet.

Houston is going to be a tough out. I have a hard time seeing Illinois beating them if they get past VCU. Houston is the same caliber as Michigan/Arizona/Duke in my mind.

They have too many instances where they really struggle to score for me to put them in that category. They are a massive problem defensively and play HARD, but I’ve seen too many instances of them losing the plot offensively for me to put them in the same tier as the three you mentioned.

Fun fact: they made the Final Four in their first ever tournament appearance in 1983. Completely forgotten because of NC State

Eh, we've still got a big enough following, especially in the #3 media market in the country, that it's not a surprise to see us on CBS
