He's got it made in the shade in East Lansing. I can't imagine he'd leave that behind unless they aren't going to offer him a huge bag to come back. If he transfers, it won't be to Illinois. So much bad blood between the Fears family and the Illini staff.

I will not confirm but I also won’t deny that someone from the Fears camp reached out to see how much we’d have to spend on a PG for next year …

Hard no on Fears especially if we bring Andrej back.

On the one hand I get chasing the dollars if you are probably on the outside looking in on an NBA career. But he’s literally in the perfect spot for him and I have to think he’s getting a nice payday from MSU if maybe not top of the market. I don’t know that I want someone who is coming here purely for a raise.

Throw in having 2 non shooters on the floor if we bring back Andrej and all of the dirty plays and also just the incessant foul baiting. Not a fit and not a player I’d enjoy rooting for.

in fairness, he is a point guard who can't shoot. Maybe he will learn, but he has no hope of an NBA career unless his shooting percentage climbs dramatically. Makes sense he would try and get the most possible for next year. Maybe BYU will load up the truck!

that borderline shocks given the well documented past dealings with the Fears family. But I guess maybe it speaks well of the staff not burning bridges.🤷‍♂️

If it were me, I would stay the heck away from his circle. The things he has done on the court aside (good & bad), chasing the bag after a successful season is awfully telling about where their minds are at.

I'm still not convinced that they fire Hubert Davis. Whispers out there that he's willing to overhaul his coaching staff and try to implement a more "pro style" front office for his program to save his job. I can't imagine Carolina boosters will be happy to see him on the sidelines next season, though.
