Women had a great year and ended with a fizzle. Youth showed up tonight. If Shauna can keep the core and depth pieces together this will be a good team next year. Upgrade a couple positions and it’ll be a great team. Congrats ladies!

With 4:26 to go in the 3rd we were trailing by 9. Still in the game. In the next 2 minute span they hit 4 consecutive 3's while we had 1 2pt basket. The lead went from 46-37 to 58-39. We played them even the rest of the way. That 2 minutes really doomed us. Dont get me wrong they were definitely the better team. But take away that 2 minutes and it would look alot different.

It was still a very good year. I enjoyed it enormously. They beat my expectations considerably and the future is brighter than ever. I'm ready for next season to begin.

We need a sharp shooting 2 and More depth. We are close to being a contender in the conference and tourney.

Vandy is a great team with length and elite defense. Illini played an incredible game, but Vandy was just too much to overcome.

Given the structure of the women's tournament, you essentially need to be a host school-level team in terms of talent to make it. I'm sure the occasional upset happens on somebody's home floor, but it's evident to me that there is a barrier that needs to be broken to get to a seed that can truly do damage. Proud of the team and they will hopefully be able to keep this core together. Winning a game in the tournament two years in a row is a monumental step in this program's history, and if they can keep this core together and add a piece here or there, continuing to develop, this could be a championship level team. Very exciting!

Hope to see same trajectory as Vanderbilt over the next couple of years. 2 years host an NCAA game? That would be awesome.

On offense, we’re not overwhelmed by Vandy, though excellent rim defense. What I saw was good process and opportunities, just couldn’t hit the shots. Everything tightens up in March.”

Great year, each player had some really moments throughout the year. Wish they had more today.

Vandy is a solid team with a budding superstar. Often overlooked is Vandy coach Shea Ralph. Assistant to Geno at UConn for 13 years and did everything there and helped recruit a lot of the critical pieces to their success.

thank you coach Green , staff and an amazing young group of players that made this season so entertaining to me............we need to retain our returning players , get the injured healthy and add a couple top portal players like a sniper from 3 and a rebounding whiz.......

the future looks so bright for the WBB program now....................we have come a long way from the doom & gloom years prior to coach Green..........I love it..........I really really really really do.........

Audi Crooks considering portal. 5 other Iowa State players are leaving. She would sure fill our need for a post player.

Idk. No coaching change. From what I read the coach Bill Fennelly is the winningest in Big 12 Conference history and has a lifetime contract. Addy Brown is also xferring from there.. 6'2" F ave 13.6 / 8.1 / 5.2.

I would absolutely take Crooks. She is exactly what we were missing this year.

Sorry to see Hayven leave the program, I had high hope that she would develop more. Sure seemed like a team player, nice person and always supported her teammates. Had the size and played hard against other big players. Just never made that big step to claim more playing time. Wish her the best where ever she lands. My guess is she wanted more playing time at a lower level and knew we would add another tall player before the start of next season so her time here was over.

Can't blame her for wanting more tick.............6'6" player , she will be in demand by mid majors....JMHO.....

In my dreams I imagine Illinois tempting 6'7" Alicia Tournebize away from South Carolina with NIL dollars. She definitely will lead a team to contention.

Haven never developed the way Letty has. Letty is slow but knows how to get position. If she can reach the ball she grabs it. If she is within 2 feet of basket she can shoot it.

Haven was rarely is in right position to use her height to rebound or score. She did OK on defense. After 2 years it was clear she is not developing enough to play at B10 level.

She never complained and always supported her team. In retrospect she was a lottery ticket that did not pan out. Before the portal and $NIL she probably would have stayed 4 years. I will be happy if she goes somewhere else and plays significant minutes.

Hannah Hildago and the domers beat Vandy 67-64 to reach the Elite 8 and thank you for beating Vandy for me......

Hannah had a triple double and almost a quad double.......she is the most exciting women's player that is playing now...............JMHO.......
