how soon will we know what 25 are going north?
probable:, Church, Fermin, Saggesse
hopeful: Velazquez, Wetherholt
graceffo, pushard and roycroft fighting for final 2 bullpen starts

how can they go north without JJ?

does Velaquez get Nootbaar's and try to earn a permanent spot?

Nootbaar , when healthy enough to play.....Church or Walker demoted then..........Walker needs to perform or find him a change of scenery........Gorman tweaked his stance and it is paying off right now.....moved his left elbow away from his body and it changed how he's landing on his front foot and the rest of his swing....it was in an article a couple weeks ago...........

Liberatore
McGreevy
May
Leahy
Pallante (yuck)
O'Brien
Romero
Bruihl
Graceffo
Svanson
Stanek
Soriano
Pushard or Roycroft

just a guess right now..................Velasquez , Baez and a couple more to keep an eye on..............JMHO...........

Said on radio yesterday that he has learned a new pitch.
yeah , there have been articles about the new pitch but same brain throwing it is what matters...........should start him off at AAA based on last years performance and prove he can get minor leaguers out first before going through another season like last year's debacle.....JMHO.......

He's just throwing is crappy 4 seamer less and throwing a 2 seamer/ sinker more. His sinker has never been any good either (which is true for his entire repertoire), but maybe he's gripping it a little different and it's more of a true sinker than tailing 2 seamer.

Wouldn't expect it to make much difference - I doubt it really gooses his strikeouts, he still walks too many guys (for someone who can't generate strike outs), and his results will likely follow how much luck he has keeping the ball on the ground instead of over the wall.

Looks like Walker will start the year up with the Cardinals. I really believe he should have been sent down, less pressure, and just work on things there. Not to work on it at the major league level.

Also looks like we may not have a great defense besides up the middle.

Adam Wainwright

@UncleCharlie50

I had a chance to be a special instructor in
@Cardinals
camp this last week. My family loves Jupiter and this was extra special time with my son Caleb and a great group of Players and coaches. A few comments about what I saw: the pitching is impressive actually. Young guys with big arms, big opportunity, and big goals. A LOT goes into preparing these players and the staff is crushing it. Oh, and there is a crop of prospects coming on the mound and in the field that will win. Tanner Franklin, Quinn Mathews, Liam Doyle, Richard Fitts, Mason Molina, Tai Peete, Joshua Baez, couple catchers that were legit, big arms, and dangerous bats. Give this team a couple years and it will be a World Series contender.

Question. Does anyboby know what channel might work for televised Cardinals games in my neighborhood--I still have Comcast Cable and live in Bloomington IL? I keep coming up empty on my searches. I can get Cubs games on Marquee, which is channel 84. But I don't care about the Cubs. Any help appreciated.

🤔 I didn't even think about Winn in the 4 hole, but I think I can dig that. 1-4 I like alot, I'm hopeful about Gorman, and 6-9 might be a hitless desert...

This lineup last season by wRC+ (league avg. = 100):

Wetherholt: N/A for MLB, minor league total was 154 (projections on Fangraphs range from 89-110)
Herrera: 137
Burleson: 124
Winn: 91
Gorman: 88
Walker: 66
Church: 46
Pages: 77
Scott II: 76

It is. Oli seems to love the L-R-L-R etc lineups. Winn puts balls in play and I think the 3 in front have a chance to be on base quite a bit. Hopefully Gorman takes a step and gives that protection to Winn and Walker to Gorman.
