THAT is the stat of the year. 41 in a half versus a team like that is wild.41 point second half!

but...but...Wagler:
13pts, 12reb, 3ast, 1TO, 3-6 from 3pt.
They hadn't seen a team of our size all season. I think that's been a problem for a lot of teams facing B1G teams. We just gotta control the boards and run iowa off the three point line and we will be in Indy!Houston struggled all year against the top teams and Illinois absolutely played like a top team. Everyone played with so much poise and it looked like Houston's pressure barely even phased them.
I'm not sleeping.
I will be listening to every second of Illinois basketball podcasts that I can get my hands on.
That was a thing of absolute beauty. Sensational sensational play. We out-toughed them, we outhustled them, we outrebounded them, we outdefended them, and we flat out outplayed them. And I'll tell you what, if this was the game where we struggled with inbounding and free throws then I'm glad this is the game we got it out of our system because we were absolutely dominant otherwise. An ugly win is still a win.

That was the type of dry spell I've seen Houston have a few times this year. They had that against Arizona a couple of times. Had it against Iowa State. I felt like if we could get one stretch like that, we had a good chance. I was happy to finally get a call right in this tournament.Illinois went on a 17-0 run that spanned 6:46. That's the longest run allowed by Houston in any game over the past eight seasons. The Cougars' scoring drought of 6:46 was the second longest by any team in this NCAA tournament. Siena had a drought of 6:47 in the second half against Duke in the first round.
He bought into the hype. I still don't know exactly what he said. Does anyone have video of it.Jamal Mashburn can get bent.
