Elite 8 bound Illini !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...........without a doubt one of , if not the best , defensive games of the season tonight..........we were tenacious stopping their drives to the paint and ran them off the 3 point line.............houston had a terrible night shooting % caused mainly by our effort on D......

on offense we have so many weapons with our top 8 all contributing tonight......the second half run of 17-0 turned a close game into a manageable double digit lead and we finally kept a lead even though it got a little dicey at the end with their press and us missing numerous FT's.........BUT , tonight is a celebration of our second Elite 8 in three years........enjoy this win , but get our heads clear and ready for the idiots Saturday night @ 5:09 ct......

I said in the pregame thread the key to this game would be FTs.

Then dominating them on the glass. That was the most impressive thing tonight: 37-25.

IL out-toughed Houston and I doubt that happens much to the Cougars. Not a pretty game but the right mentality. Beating Houston at their own style of game says a lot about this team.

One more to go. And 2026 Iowa is way different than 2024 UConn

Yeah BU can’t win the big games and he is a horrible coach. He can’t win in the post season! No adjustments. Nice to not hear any of those comments tonight! Let’s beat Iowa and get to the Final 4! How about it! We have a golden opportunity right in front of us! Sign BU to another extension tonight!

Also man, Carter from Sleepers gonna have to run 10 miles... Were we clutch from the line he might have needed to run a marathon betting a point a mile...

While I had several mild infarctions in the closing minutes, I’m almost happier now that it wasn’t a blowout, in terms of keeping a sharper mindset going into the Iowa game.
