It's Friday. Think of how we all felt after the Wisconsin game 14 days ago. That's a lifetime ago in a different universe compared with where we are this early morning.

We are for real. And this is now.
The Wisconsin loss was the best thing to happen to us. Gave us time to recover both mentally and physically. I almost wouldn’t mind just throwing the first game of the BTT in future years and go focus on the tournament that actually matters (assuming we don’t need to win to make the dance).

CATS! GoCoogs Podcast…

“Sampson should recruit European Players…”

“Helps if they’ve already played professionally…”

😂 great stuff!! Also lamenting that their guys weren’t aggressive enough…haha
“Need to get some harder hitting MFers…next year…hahaha…”

So good!!

Remember the guy who talked about IL never losing when he goes to the game? His list consisted of some pretty high-profile, hotly contested matchups.

He said he booked tickets to go to Houston (obviously in hopes of us getting to the F4).

Tonight certainly was big time.

Amazing team effort! I just want to commend Boswell for bailing us out 3-4 times on questionable passes. The refs weren't great but dare I say, as an Illini fan, that we benefitted from some calls?

This win looked like earlier in the season when great teams didn't belong on the court with us. I don't think I've been as excited for the future after a win since the Wake Forest game in 2004.

Never throw away games.

Losing certainly didn't help us in 2022.

Winning certainly didn't hurt us in 2024.

No kidding. I think Houston has a legitimate gripe about a number of the foul calls.

The guy sitting next to Pearl in the studio was so confident UH was gonna win. Felt kind of weird.
Mashburn is an idiot who spews cliches and parrots what other pundits say.

I said after Purdue made their BTT run that it showed how its possible for teams to pull it together after a rough stretch. Well baby look at us now!
