The thing that's been going through my mind is that this is an opportunity that may not come around again. This is a good Iowa team that is very hot, but they're not at the level of Arizona '01 or '05 or UConn '24. We may not see another Elite 8 matchup this favorable in a long time.

I'm feeling confident after the Houston game. I think it was the best all around game the team has played all season. The defense needs no explanation, and the offense was generating good looks all game, even if it took until the second half for the shots to start falling.

Bring that same defensive intensity along with that mixture of patience and decisiveness on offense, and let's go dancing in Indy. Go Illini!

I can’t wait for this one. I will be watching and waxing poetic with my best friend who is an Iowa fan. We will let them have a fb recruit, I’ll take a final 4.

My family and I took a planned trip to StL in Dec 2025 where my 11 yo son, 9 yo daughter, and I took in the obliteration of Miznoz firsthand. We left home at 530 am this morning for spontaneous road trip to Houston where we are excited to see another locked-in dominant Illini performance. I couldn't pass up the opportunity. But, my wife, who really doesn't follow any sports at all, is the real Illinois fan -- she stayed home with our 7 and 5 yo so I could take this road trip with my older two kids and continue to indoctrinate them in the ways of the Orange & Blue 😜
Brother you sure got a good one...

21 years since we got to the Final Four. The most legendary comeback in college basketball history. Close your eyes, and I know you can remember where you were and how it felt. It’s been too damn long. Let’s make some new memories.

I was a bouncer at The Rancher Spirits & Billiards on the town square in Jackson WY. Couldn’t get anyone to switch shifts with me, so I begged my manager to let me cover the back door so I could post up and watch the game while I worked. Dejection to pure elation…

Never had such a wild swing of emotions in such a short span of time in my entire life. This 46 year old ticker doesn’t need that kind of stress, especially after this past Bears season.

That being said, blood pressure be damned, I’ll take a W any damn way we can get it! :chief: I-L-L !!

100% agree it’s a once in a lifetime chance. Against a rival that we really are better than. What an opportunity we have in front of us.

Illinois and Michigan have the best Vegas odds of making Final 4. Let's make it a reality for the first half of the equation.

Jump on the Squakeyes early and don't look back.
