We should be feedingTomi and Mirkovic early in the shot clock to force Iowa’s interior defenders into foul trouble...and try to break their perimeter defense.
Illini refuse to use spacing and movement, find an open shooter, and stretch the Iowa defense. Mostly, we dribble into traffic, throw up an off balance shot, and hope for the best. No timeouts called to encourage ball movement and play to our strengths. This is on the coaching staff to correct at the half. Still optimistic we will finally settle in and play to our strengths.
They do. Tomi is over 70% from 2 and Mirk should be able to punish Koch. Need to set it up though.
Mirk has been a no show, Boswell has been a no show.....only Wagler and Drej showed up to play this day. The missed layups is unacceptable.
We out rebounded them.by ten and even so should be up if we are 8 or 9 of 10 on lay ups instead of 5 of ten. Better wake up and won the first 5 minutes because Iowa gets the ball first and has a 4 pt lead. We can not give up ground. Lets get out of this hole and take the damn lead quickly!

I bet BU is kicking azz and taking names right now......I look for another 2nd half run by the Illini as we have been so much better in the 2nd halves of this tourney..........
