I dunno, he’s been bad, but we’ve missed a ton of layups, can’t buy a 3 and are stagnant on the offensive end.
Who knows if we'll EVER get the opportunity to get into the Final 4 at the expense of the Squawks? Can we please dial in a bit more in the second half as if this is what's at stake fellas? Please?

This is a must win. We need to play our best half of the year and win by at least 10.
Both teams are starting their offense with screens at the top of the key. They are both doing it and defending it far better than the Illini. That is why they are getting killed on the boards and still leading.
My question is do we have another offense or three that can be intitiated another way? Will we see an adjustment that takes away their advantage in the matchup on both offense and defense? Time to coach to win. Now is the time for both coaches and players to prove they are worth what they are being paid to do.

Bottom line...the team who imposed their will to start the game and really throughout the half often times wins the game. I think Iowa imposed their will the same way as they did against Florida. Illinois did not come out to play like they did against Houston. It is now on them to wake up, focus, double team Stirtz, let the others beat them, and to find the extra gear that allowed them to impose their will on Houston. It's really strange to me how things change from game to game. If they can do it against Houston, surely we'd think they can play with that same energy and focus against Iowa

Not making a basket for 6 minutes is not gonna get it done. The Sage kid hurting us just as much as Stirtz gotta play that screen coverage harder and better. This is it we need the best 20 minutes they have played all season right now.
This sucks being down to a team we shouldnt be down to 5 of 10 on lay ups! Mirk is great and i love him but he is 1 of 6 on lay ups and 5 footers! The refs are letting this be very physical compared to most games in this years tournament but we must finish.

He does absolutely nothing on offense and Stojakovic is doing a better job checking Stirtz.
Wagler, Stojakovic, Jake, Mirk, and one of the twins(probably Zvonimir for the lob threat) and get the ball moving.
Boswell can give you 4-5 minutes in the middle to give Stoj a break.
They are overplaying us so much on D and we are content to just stand around and dribble then try to drive. How about some movement, back cuts, dribble around the slow guy guarding you within 1/4" of your chest? Damn. This does not look like the top rated offense. A team gives you a little contact and you completely retract into a shell? AS and Mirk excluded, but everyone else has been ultra soft. That has to be DEMANDED to change at halftime.
I am watching a Monk rerun during halftime.

He's actually taken 6 shots and had 2 fouls called on him. About 60% of our opportunities are going through Keaton, Andrej and Mirk.
If we can just grab the rebound and not tip it - we will be OK.
