Honestly, they have looked very mortal the entire tournament, with the exception of the TCU game.
They are still in the tier 1A bucket, but they are very beatable.

They did in the first 2 rounds. Too bad Siena didn't have one or two more guys and pull off their upset.
I’ve a feeling the Illini will play free and loose in Indy. The pressure has been on this team most of the year. It doesn’t feel like that anymore. I’m expecting an A-plus game.
I don’t disagree but I’ve been hearing they are better now that injuries less of a problem this weekend.

That post game presser was an all-timer. Crean said he was surprised Syracuse played zone. My dad and I were watching that press conference. My dad looks at me and asks if Crean had watched any game video on Syracuse since, oh, 1984 or so.
I always thought that IU team that year was overrated anyway (and not just because they're a B1G foe). They played a pretty soft non-con that didn't have them play a single true road game outside the state of Indiana.
So, when we played Duke in MSG, my memory is that we had lots of good shots…but couldn’t make any. Kinda like UCONN until the last few minutes. I see a path.
