Will be watching on TV in Canton, IL

Coping mechanisms to help the wait include:

*10AM quarterly pest control coming to spray.

*10AM-NOON birthday party at roller rink for family friend.

*Easter Egg hunt for our 10yr & 7yr old boys.

Should be 5:00 soon enough 😅

Let’s go team - keep it close, and MAKE YOUR FREE THROWS down the stretch! ILL 🔶🔷
Golf tourney in San Antonio this weekend is on now.
Should last until tip off.
Watch ADDC hopefully move up the leaderboard.
They are starting early today due to potential weather coming in.

Time for the Balkan Ballers to join with Jake, Hummer, BAM, and the baby-faced assassin and bring the first NCAA Men's basketball trophy to the Assembly Hall!! It has been a privilege and a joy to watch this team grow together, overcome injury and adversity, and learn to play college hoops at the highest level. It was always the ceiling, but took a lot of cooking to get it right Now, go make your dream come true...the time is now!!!

Need to turn this into a make or miss kinda game for UConn offense. Duke had the game controlled until they started turning it over and letting UConn get some easy ones. Hopefully they are better prepared for all their screening action better than the first meeting. If Illinois loses because Solo Ball and Braylon Mullins can’t miss from three today, I can live with that. I think that’s gotta be the gameplan.

What are 2-3 bars to go to before the game? I haven’t been to Indy of drinking age for a while

We can deal with Reed getting his 24/10. If he's putting in a bunch of 2's, that's fine. We saw how Duke handled them when that was the case. Heck, Marquette handled them.

What absolutely cannot happen is have Karaban, Ball, Smith or Mullins go on a heater. They'll make some shots, which is fine, but we cannot have a Sturtz situation on top of Reed feasting. Getting out to heavily contest shooters will be the key, which means we have to be extremely selective when we double.

The last time we played, Ball and Smith went off and any time we did look to make a run, Karaban crushed it. We had no answers. However, in this one, guys like Lee and Petro were out there. Obviously it's a much different situation for us, but Reed brings a whole different aspect for them.

Rebounding on BOTH ends is critical. Our offensive rebounding is generally the talking heads focus. We HAVE to limit them on the defensive end. We can't play them to a stalemate on the glass. They'll have taken away our biggest strength/edge that we've had all year. That's what Michigan did to us.

FINALLY, offensively, we HAVE to get off to a better start. The last two games have been extremely poor. Iowa took advantage, Houston is a terrible shooting team and they didn't. If we get down double digits to these guys, they'll choke us out. 3 of 17 from three won't work here. Hopefully, the bright lights don't have us reeling early. There is absolutely nothing that the staff can say to prep them for this atmosphere.

It’s all been a bit surreal this week. And while I know we are the betting favorite, I can’t help but feel like the team, fanbase, and program on the whole are playing with house money.

Always feel that in a game of this magnitude you have to expect the unexpected to a degree.

I’ll go out on a limb and say that Ben knocks down 5 triples, we race out to a 13 point lead only to see UConn race all the way back in the 2H. But, the Illini hold on in the final seconds in dramatic fashion.
