UConn lost the same way we did. The shots they needed to fall just didn't fall. Both threes and shots in the paint. It was a good strategy to shorten possessions against juggernauts like Illinois and Michigan but I think Michigan had the better defensive horses to disrupt UConn's flow and also got a more favorable whistle.

To make it to the final four was a great accomplishment for the Univ Illinois men's basketball team. Great year. Looking forward to football and then basketball.

Gayle missed two free throws with 30 seconds left, and UCONN had an empty possession immediately after. If Karaban hits the three, it would have been very interesting with 17 seconds left and a 1 point game (especially with the way Michigan struggled to get ball in).
