Pallante with another masterful gem only allowing 7 ER's in 5 IP.....A shoo-in for the Cy Young award....keep running him out there Ollie , maybe one day he might pitch like a MLB pitcher...

He needs to be sent to AA Springfield.....that's his pitching level , maybe..

Yeah, Pallante didn't look good but I'd argue him and the other bullpen guys that went today were gonna wear it a little bit, even if they were ineffective. Especially with how much bullpen has been used recently.

The offense the past couple of games is probably more realistic to what our season will be. Two straight games with a boneheaded defensive play. Urias with terrible decision at 3rd yesterday not going home and Church forgetting how many outs tonight. The margins are small for this team, you have to play great defense.

Jordan Walker with his MLB leading 8th smashed tater............Gorman with 3 K's..........these 2 players are at the stage in their careers to finally start producing MLB quality numbers......Walker has adapted with his new batting stance.....Gorman not so much , but credit him with a nice defensive play on a groundout and spin around throw on the money................

Busch Stadium looks like a ghost town.............it really really does...............

It's going to be a long road ahead before the Cardinals will be competing for post season play............I had higher hope's prior to the season starting but the last few games have revealed serious flaws in batting quality and a dreadful BP.......Romero and O'Brien are the only quality relievers they can count on , maybe Stanek as an early set up man...............

the offense has so many that are hitting at the Mendoza line and I need to see more of present day Walker before I completely believe what I'm seeing...........I hope he has turned the corner but too small of a sample size to be convinced.......

At the level of play I see now I see last place with the Pirates safely ahead in 4th place.....hope I'm wrong but I'm not seeing it ......

ps : please get rid of Pallante ASAP......my mental health depends on it..............

Liam Doyle getting the nod in Springfield tonight for those who follow the top prospects.

He got rocked in his opener, so let's see if he can bounce back. On the bright side, his college teammate from Tennessee is throwing downright flames through his first two starts over in Peoria.

Yea Tanner Franklin is a little too good (and old) to be in Peoria - I'd expect like 2-3 more starts there before moving to Springfield.

Walker led off bottom of 7th with a single and now has a 10 game hitting streak...that's what I want to see is more consistency....also stole 2nd base......

THAT'S A WINNER !!!!!!!!!!!..................Cardinals come back from a 3 run deficit at 5-2 with 2 runs in the 8th on J J 's 2nd HR and then Pozo's tying double in the bottom of the 9th.....Church's sac fly in the 10th for the game winner.........

what a game !!!!!!!!!!!!!
