St. Louis Blues 2025-26

I just finished watching the first win in a long long time by the Blues....it was a nail biter toi the very end and must be so nice to feel that winning feeling again , against a team that has went to the Stanley cup finals the last 2 years....

down 2 early then coming back for the win.....way to go Blues..........

wait for it.....wait for it................Blues win 3-0 over the Sabres with HOFER getting a SHUTOUT !!!!!!!!

you are not in the twilight zone , but it's seemed like it to me......Monty scratches Kyrou for non consistent play....duh.....

also , Monty kept Robert Thomas on the bench for the last 9 + minutes of the second period tonight....

I'm getting vibes of Army making a major deal to really shake up the complacency of play by the entire roster with so many games ending in the Blues getting blown off the ice......I imagine Army doesn't want his last season as GM ending without making the playoffs.....

A lot of $$$$ being paid to Thomas , Kyrou , Buchnevich , and others with minimal return on that investment......the Blues are not playing Blues hockey as far as hard physical hits and a good forecheck at center ice......

one more thing , has anyone else noticed that Broburg seems to fall down with just nominal hits by the opposition.....I noticed it last night in the Capitals game so I paid extra attention tonight and it happened again.....JMHO...

Have we seriously not been in this thread since November??

Looks like a good return with the Parayko trade. Hopefully more to come by Friday.

The Blues have beaten us down that much lol.

And yeah, I'm okay with the trade though it would be quite something if both St. Louis teams are going rebuild.

Parayko might not be the only person to go either (assuming he waives his no-trade). Thomas, Kyrou, Faulk, and even Binnington have been the subject of trade rumors.

Definitely weird to have the potential of perennial playoff contenders in the Blues and Cardinals both spending a few years at the bottom.

If they keep playing like this, they're going to ruin their shot at a top 3 pick this year haha

But realistically they could have 3-4 first round picks if they go full youth movement in the next couple days. Plenty to build around with those picks plus Dvorksy, Snuggerud, Holloway, Broberg. Then the new guy we are getting from Buffalo looks promising. Hopefully it's a short rebuild with or without Thomas.

Yeah I believe that the Blues have 7 players on their current roster that are age 24 or younger. Those 4 you mentioned plus Logan Mailloux, Jack Finley, and Jake Neighbours.

I love Parayko, but I will take Mrtka and a first for him everyday of the week.

I'm curious why we haven't heard more rumors of teams trading for Faulk or Schenn.

And now it is a moot point. Good news is we still have a great D man that loves playing in STL. Bad news is that Mrtka seemed to be a perfect younger replacement for him. We still have 24 hours to see if Colton or anyone else goes anywhere. But I agree, Schenn and Faulk are the most obvious ones to go given age and contract. You can still keep Colton, Robert, and Jordan around as part of the rebuild since they're under contract and have good years ahead

Too bad the game is on TNT. If it was on fanduel we would have seen the Schenn tribute. I'm sure it will be online.

PS Good to hear Panger...he's one of the best

Blues and Flames tied 1-1 after 2 periods....Calgary has had 3 goals disallowed tonight , 2 on offsides and 1 on a stoppage play , puck played with a high stick....only the second time in NHL history has 1 team had 3 disallowed goals in one game....

Now that we are officially out, it's time for the lottery to bounce our way with our pick and the Detroit pick. The strong end to the season hurt our draft stock, but I feel so much more optimistic about the future the way our young guys are playing and messing with some of the veteran core.

Would have never thought Blues would still be in possible contention for a playoff spot given the moves they made at the trade deadline (though some I've seen would argue trading away Faulk was addition by subtraction).

They have some good young talent on the roster already and more working its way through the minors. Will be fun to watch this team going forward.

I do have a Tarasenko 3rd jersey (The winter classic style one) that I ordered during the 2019 Cup run (and actually got in the mail the day of Game 7 of the Cup Final) but I'm considering getting a jersey for one of the newer players. Haven't decided yet but I'm starting to lean Snuggerud.

Snuggy is going to be a problem for a lot of goalies
