I hope you are right. Not having Kylan from a leadership perspective is going to hurt this year. He was the one who did the #meeting. So it will be interesting to see what happens when adversity hits this team. Also, if Ty is gone, that will hurt the culture and team too, I believe, but it will be the most talented team Brad has had for sure.

I'm all-in on getting Andrej back, don't get me wrong. But with our resources and the staff's scouting ability our pivot options would be strong for replacing those traits. Blackwell even more so, on some level I feel like the pivot there might be better for us. But both of those guys are pretty common player archetypes in the portal.
We could find good bigs too if we had to, but stylistically Mirk and the Twins are unique and make the team a unique challenge, those guys did not have a like-for-like alternative.
We're in great shape to continue befuddling and frustrating opponents next year.
I stand by my take that Gates is a poor man's Brad. Never stops getting good players and has a feel for highlighting them within the team context.
? He still very likely might go there

I agree but I think Andrej will plug a massive hole in being a defensive stopper for us. He was the go to guy throughout the tournament.

we get dre back and we are top 8 for sure likely top 5. we add any portal guard then top 5.
we add dre and Blackwell, top 3 guaranteed but likely 1 or 2.
Florida is losing haugh but may gain Milan that might put them ahead
Michigan losing mara but if morez stays and they add another piece they could be there.
duke is Duke you never know what the can pull off.
next group:
MSU - still needs centers. not sure if cooper can stay
Louisville - paper tigers but they have talent
uconn - if Mullins stays they will have a good team
Arizona - if koa stays they will be decent
Virginia - meh
I could be missing a few teams but those are the ones I can think of... at this point of portal Kombat

DId i miss someone? Im aware 15 is our limit . I listed 14 so if Zens and Blackwell commit to go with those i listed thats 16. At least 1 would need to leave

Hope I'm wrong but Ty and Jakstys not being there last night seems indicative that they're exploring other options.
Oh and we also keep forgetting Nasir Rankin. It's 15 roster spots, doesn't matter whether or where the scholarship comes from.

Coach Underwood said Jakstys wasn't there because he had a test last night. He never addressed Ty not being there though.
Perhaps laying groundwork for a future transfer possibility.
