Blackwell or roll with Coleman/Morillo/BrownBrad is not interested in pivoting …
Jakstys was taking a test per Underwood.Hope I'm wrong but Ty and Jakstys not being there last night seems indicative that they're exploring other options.
Oh and we also keep forgetting Nasir Rankin. It's 15 roster spots, doesn't matter whether or where the scholarship comes from.
Am I crazy to feel like that bench would have a chance to finish .500 in the B1G? Probably crazy... but if Coleman and Morillo live up to their ratings... maybe not.
I did!Notice Indy included Andrej![]()

I mean...Since everyone’s curious about where things stand …
Obviously would like to add Blackwell …
Ty not being there last night is interesting … Does he have the role he wants ? Brad definitely made it clear he’s got a spot if he wants it … I could see Lee sliding into that role as the 10th guy …
Could also see us adding a Misko special big guy just so we’ve got a little more depth there … Pepperdine kid is an option but other top secret options as well …
Blackwell

Bench:

NO PIVOTING!Brad is not interested in pivoting …
I watched tape of Landon Davis. He is better than you think. He also appears bigger, looks every bit of 6-9 215. Ked on Illini Guys was very complimentary of him on the podcast last night as well.Fagbeni and Landon Davis taking up a roster spots is a bit of a head scratcher.
Lee and Ty might be waiting for confirmation that we are bringing in Blackwell. If we don’t they have a much better path to earn minutes.
PIFP…Brad is not interested in pivoting …
Need a quality backup 4/5 for the inevitable referee screw job in the Natl Title Game that puts Tomi and Mirk in foul trouble before the 2nd TV break.I mean...
That is a ton of talent. Even the end of the bench guys...I legit like Ethan Brown alot. He's gonna need time but I love the way he plays. Would love to have B Lee back as well.
The backup 4/5 is very interesting to me...because as far as actual holes on the roster, a backup 4/5 who can just defend and rebound would be the last piece for me. Mirk is going to be hogging all the minutes, as he should, but an extra few fouls and a guy who is 6'9-6'10 who can be strong in the paint is just icing on the cake.
Ty Rodgers was one point our best player. Now he'd be fortunate to be 10th on the roster...
Mingo’s are not going to be an option for us …
We had some conversations to get an idea of the financial piece and figure out where they were at in the process in case of emergency … And to be a little more detailed, us getting “involved” helped raise the price a little bit which only tightens Orlando’s relationship with those connections … Never hurts …

@Retro62 and I sat in The Palestra on Jan. 3 watching him v. the Illini. Within two or three possessions we turned to each other and said" Wonder where he'll play next year, 'cause it won't be in Happy Valley!" Talented freshman. Single-handedly made it a single-digit game in the final five mins after we'd led by ~10-15 the entire evening.
Yep, i 100% agree with this and i dont know much about the Pepperdine guy. He seems to be more of a stretch 4 at 6'9" 215 but if the price is right i agree with you with how this roster is built. A little more insurance depth incase of injury would be great.I mean...

It's probably overstating it, but he was the guy to always get the rebound. He was the guy who could get to the rim. And we sorely didn't have enough of either anywhere on the roster, so he ended up with the ball more than he should have.No shade at Ty … But …
