I mean Bryce Underwood basically did say this - he was asked once about going to Michigan and gave an awkward look implying that they don't develop QBs. Then picked it because they gave the biggest bag. But I guess it wasn't *that* outright, to your point.

So for those who follow high school football, especially in the West Burbs, is Bennett Konkey a legitimate prospect? I know he's a track star, but is he a sleeper target for bigger football programs?

No. Doesn’t play at that speed on his junior year film. Nice HS player. Should go to a G5 or FCS school and get to play and work on his game and transfer up. Some track guys are great in a straight line after 20-30 yards…but don’t play that fast in a game situation.
