Chicago White Sox 2026

Every so often... White Sox Management gets something right. This was one of those times.
Management has been getting quite a bit right of late as far as drafting and player development. Eight of their top ten prospects are having good to great seasons so far. Bottom two-thirds of their top 30 prospects aren’t doing as well, but probably at least a third of those guys have been hurt or haven’t debuted yet. Hagen Smith could be up this year, and I’m really excited to see Bonemer and the other Montgomery in the majors, possibly as soon as next year. Still have a way to go, but arrow is definitely pointing up.

Former Sox Garrett Crochet is having a moment – and not a good one. He just gave up 11 runs in less than 2 innings. For the season he currently has an ERA of 7.58.

I always wondered about his throwing motion. I wonder if there is something physical going on with his arm and not just a bad start.

Today the Red Sox put Crochet on the 15-day injured list with left shoulder inflammation. He hasn’t seemed right. White Sox got some good every-day ballplayers at a good time.
